The Chiffon
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
(Do-lang, do-lang)
He´s so fine
(Do-lang-do-lang-do-lang)
Wish he were mine
(Do-lang-do-lang-do-lang)
That handsome boy overthere
(Do-lang-do-lang-do-lang)
The one with the wavy hair
(Do-lang-do-lang-do-lang)
I don´t know how I´m gonna do it
(Do-lang-do-lang-do-lang)
But I´m gonna make him mine
(Do-lang-do-lang-do-lang)
He´s the envy of all the girls
(Do-lang-do-lang-do-lang)
It´s just a matter of time

Well I'm back from NYC and already depressed and trying to think about when I can go again. But happy to find this thread and all the memories. I tried to read them ALL but I may have missed some so sorry if this is a repeat. What about American Bandstand which I used to watch every day after school at my girlfriends house. Sock hops, the stroll, the mashed potatoe, the pony!

Beacon, you're probably right.
How about this one...
In 1814 we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip.
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans
And we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans.

And, what kind of painting does Dick Clark have in HIS attic?

You remember that baron flying high in the sky
When Snoopy shot him down with a gleam in his eye
But that baron had leaped from his blood-red plane
Just before it burst into a ball of flame
Snoopy circled back to check his kill
Saw the bloody red baron standing high on a hill
Then he swooped down low
Shouted "Curse you red baron!"
The German shook his fist you could hear him swear "Ach der lieber!"
Hey watch out little Snoopy
You're really in a mess
You thought you were through with the bloody red baron
But it looks like he's not down yet!
Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head was my father's favorite song.
beacon - Dick Clark has the same pic in his attic that Shirley Jones has, or similar.

Omigosh VC were we on the same wave length or what!
And there was a Christmas one, too with the baron yelling out
"Merry Christmas, my friend" to Snoopy the WWI flying ace
