Boobs - Franklin Covey uses the same philosophy in their Time Management class, but instead of "Golf Balls", it is "Big Rocks". They also had something called "Sharpening the Saw", but I don't remember what that meant. All I remember was that I got a free $75 organizer from my company.

Mister Matt..I love free gifts, especially organizers. I have to organize everything, except in my new home I can't seem to get done. The Adults will continue smoking, in this or another thread.

KMF maybe one day you can come over and help me organize my life. After that we can go sleep with bwaysinger and Tobey. After all I did introduce them. The Adults will continue smoking, in this or another thread.

That golf ball in the jar story is one we use a lot with the Youth at Church to talk about priorities. It's a great visual.

We use water instead of coffee (being LDS, ya know).

I've also seen it with the water put in first and then the big objects (like stones) added and the water overflows quickly. However by putting the rocks in first, then adding the water everything fits.

Steve Covey has some tremendous books to set help folks set priorities and goals. If I remember correctly "Sharpening the Saw" is about making sure that you maintain your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being so that your "tool" (which is yourself) stays sharp and able to do the work required.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
