Hey Boobs - we're watching a Disney movie called Wrinkle in Time - based on a kids book from the 60's that I never read (or even had heard about.)
Veuve! Yum. But, I'm afraid if I have any alcohol I'll fall flat on my face. Jet lag is a wonderful thing.
I'm determined to keep my eyes open to watch the coverage tonight - very exciting results! (I'm taping, too, just in case I pass out...)
John is completely passed out - he flys back to LA tomorrow...but I still have some energy, so I snuck in here to say hi! (Am also waiting for the pizza delivery guy...the cupboards are bare.)
Am trying to catch up on all the fun I missed while I was shooting Ouzo... Never a dull moment in BWW world!
DG - I remember that movie.
Boobs - I LOVED your Grandmother stories. Brought back soooo many memories!
Bobby - You've got to get your back in shape if you've invited the entire swimming (or was it gymnastics) team over for a buffet!
DG let me know if Wrinkle in Time is any good.
Sounds like you had a good time at Hairspray the other night.
NYadgal...yummy pizza..I had cereal for dinner...no energy to cook tonight.

Oh, I don't know adgal - unremitting attacks can get pretty dull - especially when it really doesn't involve you.
DG -yeah - I saw those attacks. (I was the recipient of a few about a week ago...) No fun. Luckily they lose interest and go away.
BUT - We all stay! (and stay and stay and stay...John just shook his head whenever I'd log in for BWW time while we were in Athens. He doesn't get it. Or me, for that matter. But that's what keeps it fun!)
OK...just because I'm almost 4000 posts late in joining in, that's really no reason not to give it a shot, is it?
Thirty-five years ago today, I was at Woodstock. Was anyone else there with me?
Seems we got into telling stories the other night and Grandma was sitting in here watching TV so I had to tell some of my favorite stories of growing up with her...gald you enjoyed them.

May we assume you had a VERY good time with the olympiads, nyadgal?
We want to know every last bicep and ab you touched and we want NAMES !!!
Yes, the scenery was BEAUTIFUL.
And Athens was lovely, too.
Seriously, it was a wonderful week. The atmosphere was exciting and Athens looked amazing. The Greek pride was overwhelming. I kept a journal (I'm a big journal keeper...), and will refer back to it to tell stories. When I'm not cross-eyed from lack of sleep!
Oh I will make sure my back is fine....thats the joy of pain killers!
iflit - Welcome!!!
No, I wasn't at Woodstock. I was just a bit too young. However, I begged to go with my friend and her older brother. But Mom and Dad said no. Imagine! (I actually think THEY wanted to go....)
Welcome home, NYadgal. Glad to hear you had a great time. Did you collect any cool pins? That's one of my obsessions the last couple of years. Olympic lapel pins.

I did. I love collecting the Pins. I started with the Winter Olympics in Lillihammer...and have at least one from every Olympics since.
Excellent! I don't know when I started, but I have a bulletin board 3/4 filled with them. I have alot with my companies name as a "Proud Partner" and the Olympic Logo. Just got a couple more the other day. Need to get a few more. Can't wait to hear your stories after you've caught up on your sleep!

bwaygirl - for some reason I have an unusually large supply of CBS Nagano (Winter Olympics) pins. I'd be happy to send you one, if interested. Most of the ones I get are related to the Network (that's what I do for a living...).
Undiscovered - It was one grand party! (and I hear the party in NYC last week was pretty grand, too!)
Folks, the pizza just arrived and I have to try to wake John up (it would be mean of me to eat all the pizza, right? I should share...) And then I have to go to bed. Won't be able to post tomorrow, but will try to get back tomorrow night!
In the meantime, have fun watching the Games tonight! USA! USA!

From purity of Woodstock to an overabundance of commercials on the Olympics broadcast.
What has America become?
I'm back...had an important phone call...the kids just got back from Turks and Caicos. Now where did everyone go?
