brings back wonderful memories of all the great Sheilas I got to see...............
I would imagine in future productions of ACL they will keep the time frozen so the story is taking place when the original production opened. Otherwise, the smokers would have to outside to smoke, if the show were taking place in present day.....
I am having a temporary brain lapse.......they do (did) smoke onstage in ACL, didn't they????? I only saw the show 37 times......I do not like what getting older is doing to my former razorsharp memory
I can't remembere either TOT! Anyone help!!
gosh - I THINK they did...but maybe it was the movie??
I'm going to go back and try to find photos from the production.
I hope they keep the time frozen. It's such a unique production, they shouldn't mess with it.
...I think it must have been the movie, although available photos from the Broadway stage are limited...
Now I've been thinking about all the great songs from that show!
Each one is better than the next - and bring back very special memories from that era...
I sang "What I Did For Love" in my senior class spring 'show' in high school. I still have all the cards and notes I received from my classmates after the performance...
When I did a production of A Chorus Line there was no smoking on stage...and seeing it 3 times on broadway I don't remember any smoking either. I believe that was the whole reason they left the stage to go smoke and Cassie did "Music and the Mirror" and Paul did his monologue.

It used to be a tradition with me to see A Chorus Line every time I went to New York (which was sometimes as much as every other week) - so I've seen it a lot To the best of my knowledge, they didn't smoke onstage.
Adgal, I'm renting since I'm broke-ass poor and they'll barely let me rent, much less buy.
It's just hard because I have roommate possibilities, which would be the best, but it's hard to look very far in advance and money I could certainly use to secure an apartment is currently sitting in my current landlord's fat, greedy hands, of course.
At least my puppy makes me happy. :)
Edit***
And to top it all off, I found out an acquaintance of mine just got into Wicked. She is so going to steal my Idina Hands and Kristin Chin and I'm jealous. :)

Good evening all. Undi. any news on the job?
Bwaysinger..remember I know people...wink, wink
You know what kinds of people, BOOOOOBS?
I know people, too.
Unfortunately, no major agents or producers. :)
Bwaysinger...let's just say I really do have a cousin Vinny.
Welcome back BB!! Did you have a good evening?
45 minutes until karaoke! Nothing tops my version of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" complete with Idina Hands and Kristin Chin and the Dramatic Slump made famous in the movie version of A Chorus Line.

Undiscovered, wrong on both counts. We all know it's the backdoor.
What? Undiscovered, you're so naughty! I meant the back door to my apartment! Seriously, what am I to do with you? You get a Kristin Chin for that.
Hey Mom .. busy night for me. Now I must get to bed. I promised myself I would be in bed by 10 o'clock. I'll catch up with all of you in the morning. Kisses all around.
oh, Undiscovered, you will be the president. I'll let you maintain my website, too. You will, without a doubt, be my Idina Hand.
Anybody still awake?
I'm barely awake (the Metro North local back into Grand Central is such a treat. NOT...), but thought I'd stop in to see if someone wanted a nightcap.
Bwaysinger - I'll keep my ears open for you. People at work are always putting roommate and apartment requests on the bulletin board...you never know.
And, I'll gladly join your fan club. You should have your Idina Hands trademarked, so nobody steals it!
Hope everyone had a nice evening. I'm not going to be around much over the next week or so - but I'll do my best to stay in touch. I'm missing you all already... *tear in corner of eye*
I'm here and it's martini time. Boy, fix me a dirty martini, stoli and three olives.
Yes! A martini would hit the spot!
Make mine a double!

Hello, Nina - it's just lonely me, here by the pool in SoCal
SoCal sounds like the place I should be right now... Frankly, anywhere but here is where I want to be right now!
Wish I could be there with you, DG.
So - let's go.
Weren't we going to plan a road trip?
A road trip to DGrant's? Sounds like fun. I'm in.
