I threw a fit when I was four and declared that June 30 would be my new "half" birthday. My Mom threw me half birthday parties and still buys me gifts and sends a cards!

Undi - believe me, I'm aware of the time difference between NY and LA!
It's my dummy of a lover who gets confused...he called me when he got up this morning for an early meeting, forgetting that I'm not 3 hours ahead but 6 hours behind (he's in Prague)... Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, I always felt bad for people who had birthdays near holidays.
My problem was the extraordinarily mixed emotions about September being the start of school (YUCK) but also my birthday (YAY).
