I agree presumption can be dangerous, but sometimes it helps to have an outside voice clarify things - and reinforce them
hows the weather in the inland empire today?

We've hit that time of year when it's cloudy and cool in the morning, and then by noon the sun is out and the air gets turned on. At the moment, it's about 78 degrees, and the sun is getting ready to start its slide down the mountain.
nice -- it was a nastry start today here in the city, but turned out OK by later afternoon...lot of people got caught in surprise downpours this morning...(not me)
Although, it's getting dark too soon....I love Autumn, but wish it was lighter a little longer

So, KMF - how do you know THIS neck of the woods?
I get out often to So Cal for work -- my company operates the fine jewlery business in Rob May and Bloomingdales....

AHHHH - we're about to open a big outdoor shopping area that has a Robinson's May (and maybe Bloomingdale's, as well) - maybe you'll have to come out for that!
Rancho Cucamonga (I am sure I mangled the spelling?) -- I hope to!

Well, if you do, please let me know - that's about 1 1/2 miles from our house
I certainly will!
Hi DG and KMF...craziness here..trying to do laundry, eat and pack and make arrangements for Grandma sitting. I've been on the phone all night. Time for a cup of coffee with a friend just stopped by. I'm here though my friends.

Boobs - I'm SO EXCITED I might have one of our 'gang' in my neighborhood! I know I'll get to see Debbie, cause she's out here a lot, and you have THREATENED to, so I'm hoping - but KMF actually has a REASON to be right by us!
DG..maybe KMF will take me with him...hint,hint.
honey -- you are welocme, but I might make you work!

Boobs - will you fit in the overhead compartment? They're very strict about that these days, you know
well, if she's good, I'll book her seat 2A...I always try to get the Shakespear seat on an airplane

But what if it's NOT . . .
I throw a hissy fit.....no, NOT really -- although I am a VERY spolied flyer, I get upgraded 99% of the time, usually 5 days out, so seat choice is normally OK...but I do have my preferences -- and I know the configuration of every Continental jet to know which is the seat I want
I am pretty short, but the weight could be a problem.
they bend the rules for me -- you'll be fine....
KMF...I'm so lucky to have you as a friend. I love having friends that have rules bent for them. This will be fun.

I love hearing 'frequent fliers' talk - for years I have driven whenever I could, simply because I like to see things and stop when I want to. It's such a unique world, frequent flying, I wonder if people even are aware of what they're doing? I sit by the window and GAWK at the perspective - and it's not like I've never flown before. But REALLY, how often do you get to see the world from a bird's eye view?
DG -- I book close to 100K miles a year and still love the thrill of flying -- when I am at a window seat (only bulkhead so I can get out without making person next to me get up -- see, I'm particular, but caring) I LOVE looking out -- of course the middle of the county is boring, but about 4 hours into the flight west, I know the edge of the Rockies are soon there -- it's great...
One of my favorite flights for gawking is up/down LA to Seattle...that's great viewing -- Sahsta, Bachelor, Hood, St Helens....
This weekend we upgraded to business class...anything over 2 1/2 hours I need to upgrade. I could've never done Hong Kong without upgrading Could you imagine 15 hours in coach???
