At this point, being STILL a smoker, I can't imagine 15 hours in a plane at all - much LESS coach

I have friends from Germany who won't come over anymore becasue they say they can't make the flight without a cigarette

DG..I'm a smoker too, but it didn't even affect me in the least. I'm known to be able to control my urges though. As long as no one else is smoking I'm fine.

The only time I've been tested is when we went to Hawaii last summer - and I just drugged myself (LEGALLY!) and passed out

DG...I kept Tylenol PM close by. Between them feeding us and watching movies and sleeping the flight really seemed fast. As soon as the plane landed though I couldn't wait to get outside to smoke.

you poor thing DG -- I hope the trip was worth it! I love Hawaii -- it's just so far from the eat coast...I spent two weeks on the big island and Kuai last summer (03) -- it was heaven...although I do have ti say -- the volcano is much more active this year than last, but I got to see flowing lava, so I was happy!

I usually drug myself on planes too but it's becasue I hate flying. I can control the smoking urge fro long periods when I don't have any other choice.

I went to Maui and Kauai for my honeymoon. It was loverly. That's when I feel in love with Palmeria. Love the scent of the flower. Mmmmmmmm

OK -- true story -- a European carrier (whose nationality is riddled with "they are stupid" jokes) ACTUALLY separated smoking and non smoking based on what side of the aisle you sat on...I AM NOT KIDDING

KMF that's hysterical. I used to love the smoking section on planes years ago..I always felt bad for the people who sat in the last row of the non-smoking section with all the smokers right behind them.

Hi gang!
Just a very quick hello. A girl has to come up for air!
(actually, John wanted to see this thread for himself - so - perhaps against my better judgement, I'm letting him read a page or two...is it safe?)

Anyway - he's hitting the shower - so I'm going to stay for a few minutes.
KMF - my company lets me keep all my miles, too, so I have enough to go to the moon and back. Upgrades are the only way to go! And, I, too, love flying. My favorite flight ever was from Amsterdam to Kilamanjaro. It was a crystal clear day, and flying over the Sahara dessert was breathtaking.
