Emmys - I am kind of hoping for the predicted Angels in America boondoggle - if only to add that much more prestige and awareness to the general public.

DG - I hope it wins, also. I expect it will. I just hope all the categories don't go to the predictable winners. The nominations were sort of unoriginal...so...we'll see.

They've really never been known for their risk taking. I've liked many of the tv movie winners through the years, but that's about it. Mostly it seems like the most obvious popularity contest of the major awards.

Hello everyone and, I guess, goodbye to some. Everyone seems to be rushing off to other parts of the country today.
Bwaysinger, I love the new Tobey icon. It's the best one yet.

DG - when are you flying back from Colorado?
Now that I'm scheduled to go to Chicago from LA, I can stay in LA longer on Monday... a thought...

NY - I actually am coming right back Sunday night - but am booked solid on Monday, which is why I have to come right back. Fortunately, you'll probably be back in LA sooner than later

Oh well, it was an idea.
When you get home on Sunday you should come meet me at the Emmy's after-party and stay up all night with me swilling champagne!

NY - as incredibly appealing as that sounds, I'll be having my own 'after-party and stay up all night' - but with my own favorite star
#7142
Posted: 9/17/04 at 2:22pm
well, I would NEVER presume to come between you and your star!

We all do have our own priorities
It's a shame, though, to miss an opportunity to get together - but as I said, you'll be back through soon.

I will - I'm looking at heading out on 10/1, actually.
Oh - and I just booked a quick rendezvous in Paris the first weekend of November. John is going to be in London the week before, so I'm going to fly over for the weekend. Anybody else want to meet us there??

NY - we have tickets for something on Oct. 3, but either the evening of the 1st or anytime on the 2nd is a possibility.
If Robert didn't still have such a restrictive schedule, we'd try to join you in Paris in a heartbeat. He really enjoyed it when he was there a couple of years ago, and really wants to share it with me (as I've never been.) I'm afraid I'd never leave the Louvre.

No - you would leave the Louvre. You would never leave the Musee D'Orsay. (I lived in Paris, briefly - so would be a good tour guide!)
oooh - the 1st may work. I'll know next week!

NY - Robert went there as well, and brought home the brochure for me to drool over - you're right!
Just let me know if the first becomes a possibility so I can mark the calendar - we live by that thing!

I lived across the street - on rue de Lille. It was my home away from home.
My calendar is permanently attached to me - it fills up so quickly!

It's not just you...and it doesn't help that I seem to have lost ALL of my discipline and am spending WAY too much time here!
