"Actually, Rodney is being a perfect gentleman on another thread, so I know he has it in him"
thanks for that.
Basically, I'm a Jekyl/Hyde kinda persona.
sometimes I get pissed about something, so I vent.
If you knew me in real life you'd know that even though most of my opinions are towards the right hand end of the spectrum, I am respectful of the opinions of others.
For example: I love a good steak. Nothing is better in my opinion. If a person wants to be a vegitarian, I say "fine! more steak for me!" But it bugs me when a vegetarian tries to convince me to become one.
Why is respect for a person's opinion only expected in our society when that opinion is "politically correct"?
Whay can't people disagree with me on this board without calling me names?
A couple years ago I was taking some classes at the Second City in Chicago but I quit not because I was one of the very few people there who didn't wear grunge clothes, smoke, was against Bush, etc. I quit because the people there found it necessary to persecute me for not being one of them.

Rodney - you asked what this thread was all about.
It began as a recognition that there were people above a certain age all posting here - and went through a period of time in which we all shared memories of our childhoods, youth - music, movies, games - you name it. From there it's become a place where many of us meet to enjoy friendships that have blossomed here. Sometimes it's serious. Many times it's silly. And it's a place that we all care about very much.

If Joey is staying away, I'm staying away. I think I may go try to get some tickets to BROOKLYN just to cleanse my aura.

Here's a quote of Rodney's from another thread...
"ok. thanks for clarifying. so many people attack me on this board it's hard to tell sometimes."
Just to clarify Rodney..I only attack when I'm provoked. If you want to play nice, I'll play nice too.

See, we are good people. We enjoy witty banter, and even a rant every so often, but we are off put when someone runs in and asks what on earth we're about. I learned that if you play nice you can pop in here any time. If you don't play nice, then you get the kind of treatment that the Dracula shills got yesterday.
Joey - I went to costco and got the big box of the cap'n. Don't worry - and DJ can put scotch on his if he wants.

I think DG should be the official bouncer for this thread.
We'll have him stand at the door and decide who should get in if they are not already on the list.
