Looks like a quiet weekend here as well. Lots of cleaning needs to get done. (sigh!) Maybe might make it to the fair. (mmmm apple pie!) Need to mulch down the garden before the first frost hits. And hopefully a visit with the grand munchkin.
My weekend is packed with things. Tonight I have to work for opening night of a show at the theater that I'm a member of. I'll be selling season subscriptions. Tomorrow dinner with friends then back to the theater with them to actually sit and watch the show then a childrens BD party on Sunday.
Morning Orion. How are things with you my friend??? If that old lady comes back today be my guest to slap her around...she enjoys that.
I wouldn't slap her around. I think she may someone I like in another life.
Oh please Orion...just one big slap across her wrinkley face..for me.
Well, maybe if she gets too out of line.
Thanks Orion...you're such a Pal.

Good morning, all
Well, I got up early to get into the office early to get some work done, and here I sit talking to y'all.

orion, that chow is sooo darn cute!
Thanks mom. That's my little Mishka who died last week. We just picked up his ashes last night. I miss him terribly.

Weekend plans...working on an event for next month. Right now I'm in the "I guess I'm the only competent one working on this thing" mode. :o( Then its General Conference weekend for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints so I'll be attending a series of satellite broadcasts hearing talks by the President of the Church and other presiding authorities. It may sound dull to some folks but it is a fantastic and uplifting weekend. Not in a pulpit-pounding, pep rally sorta way but in a quiet, sweet, and contemplative way.
In between sessions on Saturday I'll be working with a friend on props for a production of "My Fair Lady." This opportunity to serve landed in our laps on Thursday along with a 2-page list of items which are "period" specific and which we need to get loaned or donated since there are "$0" in the budget for props. (It's being put on by the local congregations of my Church so my friend and I need to shake down members in the various groups and get them to cough up whatever they can...And, I am not the biggest fan of MFL done on an amateur level...)
But, joy of joys on Saturday night I'll be watching "The Alamo" on DVD with a friend who is slowly becoming a Patrick Wilson fan.
She's a great cook so the snack food is always top notch and her hubby is a hoot to be around. :o)
And, not a hot date in sight... *sigh*

Good morning all -
What a beautiful day in NYC...
Nothing really new to report - just had a barrel of laughs with BitterBetty last night... and of course the Debate Drinking Game... BWW was in rare form.
We're celebrating birthdays in the office today - so have cupcakes from my favorite bakery. I brought extras for you all. Enjoy!

Good Morning, Beacon - I just want to say it's a pleasure to see your name popping up again in here
Morning to everyone else, as well!
My Fair Lady is my favorite musical - and watching someone struggle through it is . . . well, it's difficult, let's leave it at that

Morning all! How is everybody feeling? I didn't sleep well, so I'm halfway to exhaustion this AM.
I'm so sorry about Mishka, Orion. I have 2 dogs of my own and have had dogs for most of my life. They are a gift while they are here and still contribute to your life when they are gone.
Morning NY and DG...TGIF...and spanking day...who could ask for anything more???
My Fair Lady is very difficult to do on an amature level. I don't know if I admire anyone who attempt to do it or think they're nuts.
I'm in a similar situation with the 0$ budget and needing props and set pieces for a show I'm directing in February. It's always a challange to pull off a show with no money.
Thanks Fair. We're already considering getting another. While we were picking up Mishka's ashes last night, an email came asking if I would be interested in adopting Chow who is in a shelter after his owner recently died in a car accident. We're looking at it as sign.
Morning Fair.
Orion, what show are you directing??
I'm doing Come Back To The Five And Dime, Jimmy Dean
Good Morning to you Boobs!
Get that Chow Orion! Do it if you're ready.
That is amazing.
GREAT show - maybe we should all take a road trip to see it!
Cupcakes - I have pastel colors, pink included. Some with sprinkles, some without. Help yourselves. Buttercup Bake Shop. The BEST!
Morning, all. Apparently Liza has been channelling Courtney Love all over her bodyguard/personal assistant/chauffeur.
Okay, so maybe she really DID beat up Gest - but lord knows the man deserved it!
