Hi -
about to leave for the weekend, but couldn't go without giving my friends another hug.
I just want to say - I'm the luckiest girl in the world.
Turns out John is flying back to surprise me - to be with me for the weekend. It was, apparently, planned for a while - and then with the trip to Moscow last week he thought he might not make it back... BUT - he decided to come after all! Color me HAPPY!!

First I'm going to sit in hours and hours of traffic...but I have a whole bunch of great CDs to listen to...
Boobs - how lucky am I??
Oh, and Dame - the concert was GREAT. Barry was Fabulous - pulled out all the stops. And, no big secret how I earn my bread and butter...I'll PM you next week when I'm back in the city.
Hope you all have FUN weekends, too. I know there are lots of fun activities planned.
Oh, and Bwaysinger thinks my new name should be Cinnamon. Kind of sounds like a porn star...
I leave you with that thought.

I think that would be a great new nickname!

Okay before I go I have to share this story that I'm laughing at right now. A guy I work with evidently got an attachment to his email from a friend, but never realized it. So all day, every email he sent out had at the bottom of it, it read......
" Gay and Proud." How hysterical it that !!!
Now it's time for the Friday bell, so Boobs gotta run. Maybe I'll see some of you online tonight. Hugs and kisses all around.

KMF, I hope you treat your interviews better than I was treated this afternoon. I had an appointment with a recruiting agency at 1:00. I arrived at 12:40 and by 2:30 I was still waiting. This place was like a factory assembly line where the product was unemployed people...fill these forms out, now go there and do a typing test, now go there and do a test on basic computer programs, now take a number and wait. Meanwhile you can see their "creative team" crammed two to a desk making calls like
something out of the movie "Boilerroom" Every once in a while one of them would ring a bell on their desk and the rest would give a half hearted round of applause. I suppose that indicated another person placed and another commission made.
I finally went to the reception desk and said "Please tell Ms. .....that I am cancelling my appointment with her. I don't want to be associated with an agency that see this as an acceptable business practice."

It certainly deos. I wasn't applying for a job with them. I was signing on a a client with them. They're headhunters who match candidates with jobs. I can't imagine working in taht kind of environment. It's like one step up from telemarketing.

Orion -- shoot me if I ever treat a prospective employee that way -- no, I think I did good -- I was 15 minutes early, preapared adn bought her Starbucks before we started...not sure if I LOVED her as a candidate -- but I think she left feeling good about us as a company and that the 90 minutes we spent was valuable.....
Gotta run, fast shower and down to an awards dinner --- maybe see you later....
