Dame - he should just keep drinking water. Lots and lots of fluids. And he should NOT take mineral oil - it can block the absorbtion of fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K - and cause toxicity. Caffeine helps, if he's not already a heavy caffeine user. (Doctor's daughter here...)
