The debate was awful, and now I can watch something entertaining. The Yankee game.

I watched no more than two minutes of the debate...
I just couldn't bear it.
And, I'm quite happy about it.

As I said beforehand, I have my mind made up, and it's not like they're going to say anything new or different.
Had a nice chat with Pip in here before - he can stay as long as he minds his manners and says please and thank you - kind of like the Gov'na, here

DG - I read the chat with Pip. What a charming guy. He is welcome to play with us anytime!
Just like the Gov!

Gov - your icon pic just makes me grin from ear to ear - quite a mind you have there!
Addie - are you in town for awhile, or do you have to jet of to Cairo or something?

Ah yes, the infamous "You can see me, but you can't" shot. It was a spur of the moment thing, and I put it there because none of the normal pictures were postable.

Gov - I don't even WANT to know what that means! And what are you doing up so late anyway?

LOL, DG!
I'm in town for a while. Will be in Connecticut this weekend, but that counts as 'in town' for me.
My next trip (of any consequence - not including a boring couple of day trips for work) is November 6th when I leave for Paris.

Ah, yes - the rendesvous - does John know about this?

What I meant was the other pictures I took looked awful or showed half of my face.
And I'm always up this late. The Daily Show isn't on until 11.

Good grief - when do you have to leave for school?

Yes. He's the one who planned it... He's going to be in London for business the week before.
I've tried to plan a surprise or two for him over the years, but his schedule is so insane that it just never works out...

Addie - I see - I thought this was YOUR brainchild because he was in London - well, it's not like you won't have a FABULOUS time - I assume the d'Orsey is on your itinerary?

I go out to the bus stop at 8:00, which gives me less sleep then I probably need.

He said with aplomb - I don't imagine your parents argue with you much - and if they do, they probably lose

Oh - well, it WAS my idea. But not a surprise.
And, yes, the d'Orsay is on the itinerary. It has to be. I couldn't go to Paris without a visit. Other than that, however, no plans. Although, I'm trying to get tickets to the Opera for one of our evenings there...

So was I, Gov'na - watch your step
I would simply have to walk the Rues, Addie, and look for gardens of delight.

Addy: Is the opera at Garnier or Bastille this time of year?
I hope you'll go for a stroll through St. Germain and the Ile St. Louis... they're my favourite parts of the City of Light...
I see I've arrived way too late for joeyjoe's baked delights... I look forward to that venture, as I've got such a weakness for baked goods.

cookie -
The Garnier has ballet that weekend. I'm looking into tickets for the Opera Bastille.
We'll be staying right off the Blvd. St. Germain - and will most certainly stroll through Ile St. Louis. My favorite Creperie is there...

Morning all!! Coffee is on. (yawn!)
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."
