The Italian word for tacky is quite special, if I remember rightly. I'd need to look it up for the spelling though, so give me a minute.
Come on Pop..the anticipation is killing me !!!
pop, you must be speaking colloquially (OOOooo!!!)... the only word i know for "tacky" is viscoso...
my favorite colloquialism is "testa di cazzo"... say it loud when you're pissed off when someone cuts you off while you're crossing the street... it feels SOOO good...

I haven't ever seen that usage before, DG. But I do know a couple of gals with some big 'ol cankles.
for the musically inclined, ACCEDED, CABBAGE, BAGGAGE, DEFACED, EFFACED, DECEDED, DEEDEED, DEFADED, DEGAGEE, GEAGGED, and FEEDBAG are seven-letter words which can be played on a musical instrument... CABBAGED, DEBAGGED, and BAGGAGED are eight-letter words...
Now my eyes just popped out of my sockets.
Possibly I am speaking colloquially joeyjoe and I can't find any translation for it online, but I remember it being something like articicapicio or some such. I WILL find out though.
For my sweet boobs: "a", "be", "cat", "do", "for", "go" ....

Morning!
The word for refrigerator in Norwegian is Kjøleskap.
"shul-skaap" I had a friend in Norway tell me it was a curse word, which is common practice amongst Norwegians. Needless to say I spent an entire day on the slopes cursing the refrigerator anytime I took a tumble and it was only when I was on the way back to our house when my friend let me in on his little joke.
Thanks my sweet SOMMS..I'm better now with those words.
Morning everyone who just came to play.
Fair... there is a scene in "I Remember Mama" where Uncle Chris teaches his nephew to swear in Norwegian to ward off the pain... it's very cute!
Well I can swear in Gaelic (hee hee!)
I can swear in just plain Gay.
Morning everyone! Must be gloomy weather everywhere...It's overcast, cold and rainy here in the heartland, too.
Hey, JJ, I love that old movie!
