Addy..if it was a good show I would've thrown the kid sitting next to me into the Orchestra because he was eating M&M's and kept crinkling the bag...It didn't bother me though.

My standard aren't all that high. All I ask, generally, is to be entertained. Hell, I enjoyed CATS, you know what I mean? I found myself heckling Brooklyn. Only in my head, but still... You know a show is in trouble when you find yourself thinking "you're f*ckin' kiddin' me" during key scenes.

I think the music is so loud so that the audience won't fall asleep.

A big problem was that there was no character I gave a rip about. Paradice was unlikable, the father should've seen a therapist 30 years earlier (and btw, wasn't Brooklyn born during the Vietnam War? How come she's only, like, 20... What's up with that?). No sympathy for the mother...abandoning your young child to a life on the streets alone because your man done you bad? Nope, no sympathy. And Eden/ Brooklyn...I just wanted to slap some sense into her...she is *killing* her voice.
OK ...I'm over it.

I would have tossed the women sitting behind us right over the edge, also. And the chick with the cell phone. Although it was more entertaining than what was happening onstage.
Iflit - my sentiments exactly. KMF (who I was seated next to) and I just looked at eachother when it was over and started laughing...

Iflit...beautiful observation. You gave more thought to it than I even would care to give. Everything you said is so true !!!

Just want to share what I good friend I am...
My friend came over with a very bad movie choice... so I was hanging out with my laptop while he was sort of watching. Then he caught sight of Matt_G's icon (which will be deleted shortly, I'm sure)...so now we're cruising websites looking for Mike Branson videos.
I should have just gone out... Now I'm getting an education in gay porn.
I need a drink.

I don't think Cinematherapy has a chapter for what to do when your friend takes over your living room with gay porn. HELP!
