Morning all...notice I didn't say "good"...I'm waiting to see before I use that word today. Coffee is brewing and I got some sticky buns in the oven.
Hi ya Boobs ya wanna go get drunk?

Will it be sane in here today? I really need a respite from all the election goings on. And, boy, am I going to be praying for this increasingly divided country...We are in a very scary place.
On the good side: Bboobs is still digging in the backyard, right? I've got the Shadow Puppets portion of the Eulogies program worked out. I just need Eddie Varley to lend his voice to one of the characters...
I'm putting out some hot chocolate and whipped cream for any interested folks.
*Hugs to all* regardless of political persuasion, religious idenity, and shoe size. :o)

Well I don't smoke but PLEASE bring on the Chocolate Martinis!
Morning everyone. It's going to be a long day, I fear. And, beacon, I've always felt that "respite" is the purpose of this thread...it's a place where friends can gather just to get away from it all and enjoy each other's company. Kind of a neighborhood front porch where we watch people and events go by, have a cup of coffee and find whatever humor we can in the insanity around us. Speaking of coffee, I'm making a Starbucks run, so speak up!
Something with lots of caffine and chocolate! Screw the diet! Man I am so depressed! On a happy note I get to keep my Senator.
Yes, Thanks Pip you are the best!

Hot chocolate with lots of fattening whipped cream, please, Pip.
I hope we can focus on something cheerier today...like Bboobs' digging in the backyard (we need a bigger hole).
Perhaps Rath can spur him on!

Pip honey that sounds wonderful (and fattening!) I still have tons of chocolate leftover from Halloween, this is going to be a very long day.
I am extremely upset about the fighting that is taking place on this board.
I happen to LOVE being an American. I take the good with the bad. I look at this as a challenge to figure out what I can do to advocate for the causes I believe in.
This is my wake-up call. If I want a country that represents my interests and beliefs then I have to do more than cast my vote on election day. I have to work for those causes every day between now and 2008.
Time to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I do believe ONE PERSON can make a difference.
Maybe it's the eternal optimism by which I define my life.
But, it's better than spewing hate.
Just my opinion.
Hi guys. I don't remember feeling this depressed about an election since the first one I voted in - which was Reagan's first term election.
Pip - a latte - half vanilla - VENTI.
Hi ya addy! You were missed yesterday!
On a happy note, dinner on the 12th, would you prefer Luxia or 44& X? These are the two BB mentioned. Do you have a preferance?

Well put, Addy, well put.
On a lighter note: Did you have fun at the Comedy Central party? I caught bits of the show as it was repeated last night.
And, Pip is right. Bboobs get a backhoe...

Rath - as you know from my previous posts, I learned an important life lesson at a young age: MAKE EVERY MOMENT COUNT.
I believe that pouring my energy into activities that are productive and proactive will be more worthwhile than sitting around and complaining. I don't diminish the right to all of the feelings we all have this morning, but I do believe that action can yield results. And I want to see results!
Call me a c*ckeyed optimist...
Addy..I love you too...sometimes though you need to let people get out their frustrations before they can go on. We all need time to mourn. Give it time and everyone will go on and fight as Americans always do.
addy may I also second Rath's comment I love you too!
beacon - the Comedy Central party was fun. I wasn't at the show taping, but they had the show on TV's throughout the party.
I stayed until about midnight...decided to be sensible and get home at a 'decent' hour...
