Well, of course the adults can play - but these impressionable whippersnappers who are already showing signs of weakness need other diversions. I'm afraid the 'boys' around here can't be trusted to come up with anything that isn't worse than gambling - so I'm depending on the ladies. Make sure Pip has a cookie, THEN you can put your visor on, light a stogie and take these suckers for every dime they've got Smokin!

Nothing better than a game of Canasta on a rainy night.

Hey, Boobs Smokin! I always wanted to learn Canasta - is it fun? Is it like any other card game?

DG I'd be happy to teach you. Michael taught me because he used to play it with his Grandmother all the time so it brings back memories for him. It's loads of fun. Nothing like I've played before. It can get vicious and believe me..we have. Smokin!

That's funny, Boobs - the reason I even have heard of Canasta is because MY grandmother played (I vividly recal her beautiful emerald green and gold decks - maybe THAT'S what I really liked Smokin!)

Oh DG..you need to learn this game then. You'll probably understand what you Grandmother liked about it too. It really is addictive.

I love cribbage - but Hearts is my favorite!

Cribbage. That's with the pegs on the little board, right?

My sister's husband & his family are Cribbage addicts.

Hearts. Oh DG. Before I joined the LDS Church (age 20) there were many nights during my freshman and sophmore years of college that we played Hearts until all hours and drank Cold Duck.

I still love Hearts and that is my fave alternative to Pinochele.

If Grandma comes in here one more time tonight and says she can't be alone all day and that she's gonna be 100 yrs. old and that she was born in 1911...I'm burying her in the rain !!!
