my experiance is my LA people always blame stuff on traffic (how is THAT for a gross generalization) -- but they do -- so to stop that I simply call them on their cell phone -- they say that it takes two hours to get in, so they shoul be in their cars by 6 or 6:30, yes??? Amazing how often they are home (as he hears the distant kids and/or dogs in the phone)
