I know this is a silly place to ask it, but I have a theatre question... Has anyone seen a preview of Pacific Overtures yet? I love the show and want to know if any trusted adult has seen it yet...
Just as long as I don't turn to food. The first time I quit I used working out to beat my cravings, crunches honestly do wonders too. I lost 15 pounds the first time I quit. So maybe I can do that again.

If you've got plans, better cancel them now, or at least have an alternate plan on the back burner. One never knows what will happen when today's cast of planetary characters get together, but it definitely won't be boring.
Are you my cast of planetary characters? My plans were to go home tonight and have some quiet time before the holidays....
The longest I've ever quit for was 7 months, and that was about 10 years ago. :::sigh:::

Goody morning addy, good to see you again!
BT..haven't seen PO yet...I was waiting to hear some critiques first.
BT -- not yet -- I am going in December -- I have not seen much posted about it yet nor heard any buzz at all. I think Jose (the quiz guy) has seen it and you could send him a PM
Hi Carl!
I'm glad to hear you've quit smoking! It's the single healthiest thing you can do for yourself! Just think how much you have to live for and how much would be lost if you got sick.
I used to be a light social smoker in college...would light up after a drink or two. BUT, the minute the Doctor told me I had cancer (unrelated to smoking), I decided that moment that I had only one thing I wanted to do: LIVE.
And, smoking isn't life.
Quit Quit Quit...and when you come to NYC we'll celebrate
Oh Addy, I can feel the rumblings already. I have a lineup of meetings and then drinks after work. I don't know that I'm ready for a wild day.
Oh, I just snapped at my first coworker. Evil BT is in the house.
Morning Addy -- Happy Tuesday to you!
BT -- an evil side???? I am intrigued!
Well, we're celebrating here at work today because they finally announced my promotion.
I've been working with the head of my company to design a position that hasn't existed in the organization, but is very much needed. It's a very strategic role, and I'm THRILLED about it. How often does one get to 'write your own ticket' in the Corporate world?
So...today should be a nice one.
Good morning K and Addy. What a lovely morning here in BWWland...our friends are all showing up.
Here you go, Carl, I made it grande and stuck it in a thermos to stay hotter longer. And, congrats on quitting. You can use us as your support team when you want to vent or talk!
BT with a dark side?? This I want to watch...

Congratulations, Addy! You deserve whatever you get
Thanks for the warm words Addy. Smoking just became a way of life as a theatre student, and even though I did enjoy it, it was part of my image. Before I quit the first time I picked up full time smoking to get more breaks at work. I'm gonna try really hard this time, but only god knows how long this will last?
No word on my coffee Pip?
Yes, my eyes are red and I have horns growing from my head. The word is out in the office to steer clear. Sometimes a little power is a dangerous thing.
But enough about me - HOORAY FOR ADDY! I am going to toast you all day long!!
Big Cheers for Addy -- Congratulations!
I had a similar opportunity a few years ago when I was going to leave my job to become a millioaire and work in the dot.com industry -- you know -- work hard a couple years, become filthy rich at the IPO and then retire at 45....does anyone remember kozmo.com?????
At least I had the good sense to listen to my boss when she told me to create the job I want!
Morning addy, K and Carl ( and whoever else I may have missed!)
Addy! CONGRATS!!!! Woo Hoo!
Carl good for you! I have never smoked, but I know how hard it is to quit. I lost my mom to cancer when I was 10 then my dad 6 years later. It is the best holiday gift you could ever give yourself.
K - I loved kozmo but knew it was doomed. It made me sad. I love when people deliver things to me.
like most of the others Kozmo grew too fast -- if they had focused on major cities and core items, they could have made it -- they actually were very profitable in New York, DC and Seattle...
I think Kozmo's success in DC was due to me. When I was home sick I had them deliver movies, tissues, cold medicine and lunch. It was magical. I think I was a princess in another life.
CONGRATULATIONS ADDY!!!!!!!
My job is one of my own creation and after ten years is still exciting and fulfulling. I love being the glue that holds the place together!
Congratulation, Addy! Woo hoo!!! Caramel macchiatos for everyone!!
Veuve all around in celebration for Addy...yea !!!
Nothing good with my job, but I do have a date with a really sweet, caring and HOT friend tonight...dinner and play..so I'm excited.
BT -- you are a princess in THIS life -- come now -- this is KMF you are talking to!
Lucky Boobs....
