Cookie: I wish there was something similar but there really isn't! The Chelsea Market is SO one of a kind. Yes there are the little places that make yummy deserts and stuff but they are on all sides of the city. It's just different.
It started with a sipmle idea, collecting one paper clip for every life lost, the feelings that connect us...are greater than those that divide us!
And Ruth's Rugelach is pretty good. I like their coffee a lot, but Amy's Bread brews Illy coffee, which is the coffee that is served at Billy's further up the avenue...
Hi M-E! You could try and read through all the preceeding pages... :)
How's about we not talk that way about Billy's, Undi. He does his best to serve a vital and important role in our community.
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
Hey, Matt, Mary Ethel, Cookie, Undi, et al... Cookie, it would seem to me that what must happen is you taking me (and whomever else would like come along) on a trek through not only Chelsea Market but all these other wonderful places. Loose pants are not optional. :) Undi, I don't know what I'll be working Sunday. I imagine I'll be off around 5'ish...if the Market's open at that time and later, I'm up for cookies! :)
Oh, LA, to be initiated into this group is both exciting and scary. But we do know how to drink. And eat. And drink. Did I mention drink? Oh, we also like chocolate. A lot.
Now, walking tours with the advent of winter upon us, may not be wise... If you can hold out til the spring, I'm sure to have culinary adventures galore. And of course, all that walking will help in burning off the calories we ingest... Wish I could drop by the Chelsea Market hunting day on Sunday, but my baby sister goes back up to college the day after. And my presence is demanded at dinner, both to cook and eat.
I'm gonna head to slumber now. Hope the day isn't as rough on you as you expect it to be, bwaysinger... Night to Undi and LA, and whoever else is around!
Good night, Cookie! I will try my best to hold out on the walking/eating tour until the weather permits...but that's still no excuse for the occasional meeting at one special place or whatnot...Billy's always calls to me, dry cupcakes or not!
Mmmmmmmmm. I might have to make a deposit of some Billy's into my stomach this weekend.

Morning boobies. Deffinitly got on the coffee this morning, no breakfast though cause I can't afford to eat out this week at all. Guess I'll have to wait till I get home and grab some lunch.
How you feelin? Those martini's bitin you in the ass yet?
I got rid of my teeth at a young age because... I'm straight. Teeth are for gay people. That's why fairies come and get them
Actually Carl...I'm feeling pretty good...all things considered. I only had 2 martinis because I was driving...but 2 are enough for me. I'm not much of a drinker anymore. I guess that was another thing that came with age.

At least you can drink them. I find martini's just plain nasty. My Ex loved Dirty Martini's and those just make me sick. I'll just stick with my manhattans.
Anything exciting planned for the day?

Actually..Kettle One Dirty martinis are my favorite. KMF loves Manhattans.
Well, today is chore day...need to pick up my work shirts from the dry cleaners. I'm also going to a party tonight at my cousin's summer home in Long Beach Island so I need to go pick up a bottle of Veuve...my favorite champagne.
What are you up to?
