Bway, I like your signature line. I've often wondered the same thing...

Nah, we're here.
BT, I agree. I touch my friends all the time. Inappropriately at that.
Sometimes we just let the kids shower here for a bit. Then we come in and clean up the mess ... and talk about adult things, like touching your friends and rising interest rates and the obscene price of Metamucil and things like that.
Ah, Metamucil.
Oh, excuse me. IT's time for me to soak my dentures and gum my jello.
You're getting old, bway. I'm still a young buck.
Well, that's why I retired and let Pip handle the Boy duties. I'm just too old and fragile these days.

Nothing like the younger generation to make some of us feel young again.
Makes me want to put down my walking stick, put some extra glue under my toup, get out my 70s disco garb, take a power nap and then get ready to gou out tonight! Yeeeeehah.
It's Saturday night in NYC, and it's spring, again; birds on the wing, again...
Well, Jose, I'm just working on the nap...

Hi boys! Now who are you calling the children? I am sorry if we were flirting too much today on this thread but no one was around!
How are all you old fogies?

Bway: What are you doing this rainey evening?
Well, there's no rain here! I'm trying to rest at home because I'm EXHAUSTED. There's such a story there but it's not for young ears (or the public board in general).
What about you?

Oooooo a story? Please tell! And I am NOT young!
But if you don't want to tell the board I understand!
Me? Well today was long, I went to lunch with a friend who is in town and then we went to our old high school to watch them reherse for "On the Town" which open this Wend. And it's looking good! So now I am relaxing! and trying to decide if I want to go to a friends show tonight at Midnight! SO late in this rainey weather!
Well, given the new holiday season, money is to be made waiting tables. SO of course I get a double shift today when my head is all stuffy and my throat literally feels like someone is slicing it with razor blades. So I got out of my double shift, made a good amount of money for a few hours of work and now I'm home, sometimes posting, mostly nappying. :)
The story is DEFINITELY not going public.

NO WAY! That story is between us! And boobs knows!
I am sorry you don't feel well, but at least you made some money. Do you live in the city? I use to be a server at Mels Drive In, in Hollywood but we got SO many tourists that is was SO hard to make money sometimes! That is why I took this nanny job I have now, it's guarenteed money every week and time for auditions!
Yeah, LA, I work at a very tourist friendly restaurant. Money can be horrible, like it was yesterday (I still made out fairly well because when you're selling the volume of food I sold, you come out on top even if the tipping percentage is low, low, low)...but today, even after I tipped out our busboys and whatnot, I walked home with about 18% tips on my sales. Which is hot. :)If I had done 2k in sales, it'd be smoking. :)

It's so nice to walk home with the money you deserve in your pocket! I use to get SO upset when people were unfair or mean! But I am the only one in 2 1/2 years that NEVER got ONE complaint! I use to love that job, I just didn't love not making the money I needed every day! My average sales were about 1,000-1,500! 2,000 would have been GREAT!
Wow. That's nice. See, that's the trick in NYC. You really need to work in a restaurant where the sales are in the 1k range or more...I don't have good wine knowledge, though, so I have to hope that I can get a job at a younger, more cocktail-oriented place...no fine French cuisine for me! But I'm fine with that. I know exactly the kind of places I'd like to work for...and the place I'm working ain't one of 'em!

LOL! My friend just got the job as one of the chefs at "Gramercy Tavern" so if I ever move to NY I am sure I could get a job there as a server if I don't work as a nanny! We will see. I would really love to come to NY. I feel like it's my second home and I am not there nearly enough!
I love this saying! ----> What good is a friend if you can't touch them once in awhile?
Looks like bwaysinger needs someone to tuck him in, feed him soup and hot tea, and keep him warm (unless the heat in his apartment is too high) and massage his feet.... or at least run him an Epsom salt soak...
Hehe. Glad you liked it. That came out of my mouth within the context of some conversation I was having the other night and I loved it so much I made it my sig! Never let it be said I don't love myself. :)
And hey, don't be stingy with the jobs at Gramercy Tavern! Helloooooo!
well, if you can't love yourself first, who can you love?

Undi: I agree! and Hi by the way!
