Hi all back from being made to look presentable. Getting the pre interview nerves so things are on schedule. Day is crappy thats supposed to bring good luck right - or is that for weddings anyways.

Concerning the Divine - I remain more convinced than ever that she has been and still is the best currently working live entertainer - and she was in better voice than I've ever heard her. Her 'When a Man Loves a Woman' was especially devastating. All that being true, I really believe she's not served well in an arena atmosphere. Her show and style are too theatrical - and I'll just say the word 'accoustics' and leave it at that. The audience was the strangest I've been in for her shows, saved only by what seemed to be half the lesbian population of Southern California. Thankfully, she pounced on their Orange County butts right away and wouldn't let up - I laughed a LOT! A little disappointing to see so few younger people there - but her rendition of 'The Britney Bunch' pretty much put that all in perspective.
Ultimately, she's still my first choice for live entertainment - and the fact that she turns 59 today makes what I saw last night almost supernatural. Vive, Bette!

Morning Beaver and my lovely LA. I've been quite busy this morning. The end of the year is always busy which sucks with all the holidays. Luckily Christmas is on a Saturday so the Exchange will be closed on the Friday. So I'll be off for Christmas Eve which is always a good thing.
