Why can't I get a gal?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

um, maybe if you offered to take a lady out for a candlelit dinner instead of asking her to strip for you on a first date...

just a suggestion...

Hahaha.

My problem is I haven't found anyone that I would LIKE to ask out. Lots of pretty girls, but personality wise, I don't see us as being compatible.

And no, I wouldn't ask a girl to strip. In fact, that's exactly what I WOULD do: bring her to a nice restaurant, then go to the theatre aftwerwards. If not the theatre, a movie theatre. Then I would bring her to this outdoor shopping center where we would get a carriage ride at the brisk of night, with the street lamps lit. If I'm lucky, it will begin to lightly snow.

Sueleen, you crack me up.

But honestly, I've noticed that many girls are kind of wary of guys who have to much musical theatre knowledge.

Especially Peter Pan. I mean think about it. A woman playing a flying twink who likes to throw pixie dust on people. Seriously.

But I must say that I do love Peter Pan. But I'm gay so it doesn't count.

There's nothing wrong with Peter Pan... it's his life sized Liza doll and the continuous playing of Barbra CDs that scares 'em away.

So I have to choose? Musicals, or girls? DAMN!

Can't a straight guy just love the theatre and women too?

I meant that as a good thing for defending your "masculinity". Oh and of course you can love musicals AND girls, but girls rarely love boys who love musicals. At least in the way you want them to love you.

Girls rarely make a pass at a guy who sings "Class". Or something like that.

If you want theatre and girl Hook, you have to be into Mammet and Shepard, it's the only way it works.
