It wasn't to get a job (I already had the job ), it was a presentation to discuss current events and Immigration's stance for them. Coworkers and supervisors were giggling into their clipboards. As was I. Lawyers were not so amused.
I hope you weren't too embarrassed. Stuff like that happens all the time.
And congrats on getting the job!
Thanks Delph. I wasn't too embarrassed. My peers thought it was hilarious, and really, the topic was so serious that it was nice to have a lighter moment. It really turned me off lawyers though!

Hola Slaton. How's your life today?

In chorus on Wednesday, my friend,Emily asks our teacher "Why aren't we singing any Kwanzaa songs?"
He replys (seriously), "How many black people are going to be in the audience?"
I couldn't believe it! And, he really wasn't kidding!
Yesterday, she asked him again, and he goes, "Why don't you sing with the kids from Patterson, New Jersey?"
I am overreacting here? Because I'm so angry a him right now.
Wow what a SH*Tty thing for him to say!
I know!! Em plans on giving him a Kwanzaa song next week. She's currenly searching the internet for one.

Good for her. Is she African-American or just anti-racism?
Your chorus teacher is a Bitch. Tell Emily she rocks.
Anti- racism.
Mr. Stellingwerf is making us sing about 6 Christmas songs and only two Hannukka songs.
I'm going to tell Em that we're gathering support against The Werf.
Atheists need more songs. I hate the lack of representation we get during the holidays. Kinda.
I agree, Delphine. Someone should write something like "The Atheist Song".. or something.
Sorry -- was watching SNL.
We did a read through the other day for SG. Many people are unhappy with the show and their parts, and it might be too hard for us to pull off.
But anyway...:)

That made me laugh. What would it say?
Are you an Aethist, Delph? No religious backround or you just don't believe it?
Who's on SNL tonight?
Oh and som, you're wanted on T/D
Luke Wilson. It's as awful as usual, but Armisen does a killer Tony Danza impression.
Raised a Catholic. Catholic schoolgirl, church every Sunday, youth groups, Bible studies, Christian summercamps, most of my friends were Christians. I even went through a period of carrying my Bible with me everywhere and relating Everything under the sun to God. The whole she-bang.
But then I saw the light. Now I'm an atheist, or an existential atheist. It works very, very well for me. I don't have the emotional support I had as a Christian, but now I have more freedom and power. I am a very happy atheist.

Ohhhhh.
Makes sense. I never had religion forced on me and I go to a very relaxed, non-preachy, liberal (re: openly gay couples) protestant church. I grew to believe it and I love the sense of perspective, it's not blindly following the Bible word-for-word. So that's me.
Cool, cool. I know a lot of Christians like that, and I really like and respect them. Religion isn't a big factor for me.
What makes me sad is some of my Catholic friends who were once very liberal are now falling prey to the whole "fags will burn in hell" SH*T.

That's awful. So I have a question, do you still get Christmas presents?
I'm Jewish; that's good for me. None of that "homosexuality is a sin" mindset in sunday school. Plus, our rabbi gives great advice.
I consider myself agnostic.
Goodness, yes, I still get Christmas presents! Christmas is my favorite holiday! I just don't look at it religiously, but rather as a family thing. I think I would DIE without Christmas.
