Apart from his beliefs and just looking at his posts, he is a less-annoying troll than others lately. He doesn't argue or even respond. He just throws in horrible lyrics and predictably racist, homophobic, prejudicial nonsense no one takes seriously.

Our lack of posting on his song lyrics won't stop them from coming, as he posted lyrics the last time we were actually successful in ignoring him. At least, there's fun to be had on our part by picking at them.

I can understand if a topic for discussion has been raised. I can just ignore another stupid lyric thread, but it just bugs me that people want to bump it back up and keep it on the first page or near the top. Why? Feeding the troll obviously doesn't work, either. Which is better?

If you notice with Jim and Sue, if you do ignore them they start showing up in other threads.

I don't know if either is better. I feel like I can only ignore so many trolls at once. I had to post in a Jim Colyer thread so I could ignore the theaternut thread. I have troll OCD!

You can just skip over their comments on other threads. Everyone here is too loose with the troll name calling thing. SOmeone starting a thread about something you don't care about is not a troll.

A troll can be a noun or a verb. Posting a thread just to get a rise out of people is trolling. Posting quotes by right-wing hacks just because they said something negative about a singer you like to bash is trolling, etc.

And you can ignore them there, too. Just carry on as though they never posted. Ignoring them DOES work. If they don't get fed, they go away. They will NEVER go away if you attack and respond to them.

This board is becoming more about trolls, talking about trolls and in-fighting day by day than it is about Broadway.

I guess we disagree. But I still love you. Theaternut has been here for a long time. I think she is freaking nuts. But I wouldn't call her a troll.

I have been posting here since 2003. I have met some of you and I have worked with one of you. This whole calling me a troll thing started when I used something PRS had posted on these boards as a comeback towards him and as a example of over sharing. The Beyonce thing started the day she lip synched and a whole bunch of you got your feathers in a bunch at the mere possibility. Well it turns out she did lip-synch. And now I just get pleasure out of it. You can call me a troll all you want. I still think you are all very funny.
