Posted: 8/29/04 at 11:44amOkay I don't know about you but Jacob doesn't srtike me as the kind of guy who is well straight! I mean he has a gf (i think) but that touchy thing with Ben Mulruney and the clips from the fair (him and kalan) were i dunno a little suspicious.

I saw it only ONCE when I was in Canada. And all the girls screamed for Kalan. He is cute in a weird sort of way.

Posted: 8/29/04 at 1:50pmCanadian Idol is just as good (If not better) then American Idol, except the host (former son of a priminister) who, as someone put it in an erlyer post, Wears more self-tanner then ryan secrest (yes it is possible) and kalan is most def amazing eye candy :p

I don't think he's that gorgeous. With some proper padding an a change of hairstyle, he could easily pass as a woman.

Made it to the top 6 and would have made it further if there weren't so many competitors from British Columbia!

I can't believe Elena got booted. What the hell. Now Jacob's the only BC boy! (Side note: Anyone in Vancouver rushing for the Rent tour?)
I enjoy Kalan's voice, but I think he's similar to that red-headed demon, Jon Stevens from American Idol, where he can sing the notes, but he doesn't seem to "feel" the music, ya know?
I like Jacob, but lately he seems more...flamboyant, if that's the right word. Which normally isn't a bad thing, but with him, it seems like he's trying too hard to mug for the camera and hog all the attention. (Similar to that bitch Kim Caldwell from AI.)

I thought he was similar to Jon, also. In terms of singing, Kalan was better. But they were both the "young ones" of the group: shy, cute, quiet, which is why they were both similar in a way.

Hah,
Jake rocks...his voice is different than any other Canadian Idol Top 30 preson of the last 2 seasons. He is one spunky punk, and I can relate to his random A.D.D. moments. He has the personality to pull it off...which none of the remaining Idols do. They are all so bland. I would MUCH rather watch hours of interviews with jake than with the others.
