I may be young and i may not know too much, but from my experiences i don't think you can compare the two, no one is better than the other. They have completely differnt styles and strenghts. They've both had their triumphs and flops yet they are both credited as two of the most respected composers of our time, so why even try and choose who's better, sure we all have our opinions and prefered styles and genres but in a completely non-subjective and non-bias way there is no "best". Thats my opin

 Nov 21 2004, 04:23:39 PM

I don't even think Hailey ia that much of a singer i mean have you heard their duet? She's obviosly the better one but how hard is it to be better than Ms. Duff.

I think "always a bridesmaid..." (I love you you're perfect... ) is a great song and it has comedy but if you're going to do it make sure you have an accent or ot i once saw a girl who switched from an accent to not then to a different one it was awful.

well i know how you feel I too am in the same range. you need songs that showcase your unique vocal qualities> For example if you can hit the hightnotes really well or if you have a belty voice. It also depends on the show. if you could tell me what you have in mind and what shows you're going for maybe i could help.

BARE CD

re: Weirdest show ever done by a high school
 Aug 31 2004, 09:47:35 PM
My friends high school did les mis! Les mis? Are you joking me i know amateur theatre companies (very good ones) that wouldn't even take on les mis! Any the guy who was the JVJ apparently only sang in the range of JVJ's sustained note in bring him home. EWWW!

re: Do you need to be an expert in this to be on Broadway?
 Aug 31 2004, 09:43:53 PM
I really don't hope so cause i can pick out a tune and somewhat get the rhthym and melody but other than that i don't really read music my piano ranges from mary had a little lamb to the melody for somewhere over the rainbow. Let's just say I'm no pro. But I'd really like to be on broadway someday (like so may do) but hey I'm still young i have time i guess.
Favourite modern composer/lyricist ?

I'd say

Role of a Lifetime-BARE
Close Every Door- Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
And it's not realy a balad (i don't think) but it's sad and it made me cry
Bring Him Home from les Mis

Joey Fatone in anyting-- it's bad enough he couldn't sing in n'sync now why does he have to not be able to sing on Broadway!
re: A New One---Cleverest Lyric
 Aug 31 2004, 10:22:53 AM
I always thought in wicked-- the foreshadowing in The Wizard and I ( I'd be so happy i could melt) and ( a celebration throughout Oz that's all to do with me) Followed in Wonderful when the wizard sings (there'll be such a hoop de doo a celebration throughout Oz thats all to do with you) BTW the Glinda part goes: unusually and excedingly peculiar and all together quite impossible to describe...
