Hate apparently DOES reign in California, how else would you explain the passage of Prop. 8?
IF she is dethroned, it should be for the nude photos and boob job paid for by the pageant. NOT for her opinions.

Of course she should be dethroned for the nude pictures because they are a breach of contract and there have been other contestants who have won their state title only to have them taken away when risque photos have been found. Tara Connor did not have any of these kinds of pictures surface but she should have been dethroned as Miss USA for illegal activities. Personally, I wish someone would buy out Donald Trump as the owner of the Miss USA/Universe pageant. He is just loving all of this publicity and that's why he is dragging out his decision for so long. He's such a tool! He already sold the rights of Miss Teen USA and that's not even broadcast on the networks anymore. I also wish the networks would give more publicity to the actual winner! This has all been so unfair to her. She has worked so hard for the title and was way ahead before the final question. I can't believe that "Miss Inarticulate" has stolen Miss North Carolina's thunder!

I just can't imagine anyone, especially women, being interested in this pageant crap in this day and age. Of course it is all about looks and figures and getting a career on Access Hollywood. And the fact that Donald Trump is behind it says even less about its quality or worth.

She shouldn't be dethroned. Her "nude" photos were benign (y'know...like a tumor) and her idiotic speech is protected by the first amendment.

Besides, the desperate right thinks they have a new, articulate spokesperson! Let 'em have their dream.

She was on Focus on the Family this morning with poster child for gay hatred James Dobson. She said she's getting a lot of support from within the gay community for speaking her mind (if not for her opinion) and that she has a lot of gay friends.

UPDATE 9:40 AM ET Carrie Prejean will NOT be stripped of her crown today. There's a news conference at 2:00 PM ET by the peeps from the Miss California USA pageant, but they won't be pulling the plug on Carrie. That's Donald's decision, and he'll make it tomorrow.


In the controversy that just won't go away, someone has come forward, claiming that those topless photos of Carrie Prejean were taken way after she was 18. In fact, they were reportedly taken just months ago - after her boob job operation.

Miss California said that the braless photo, posing in a pink bikini, was taken when she was 17.

However, a newly unearthed email has surfaced, allegedly sent on January of this year from Prejean to one of the sponsors of the Miss California pageant. In the email, Carrie asks, "if she was in good enough shape for the Miss USA Pageant."

The sponsor says he's positive the nudie pics were taken of Prejean when she was definitely of age.

Hence, she was definitely lying!

Why would you say that you were 17 and a minor?

If she was 17, then I think she should be stripped for being a bad role model for what most people think would be inappropriate behavior for a minor.
Also, I would think that she could endanger the photographer too...unless her mom and dad were there or something.

I am tired if hearing Carrie Prejean's name. The fact that she was the first runner-up and everyone knows her name is ridiculous. I couldn't tell you the name of the winner of Miss USA because she has gotten no press. Her win has been completely overshadowed.

Take back the crown and boobs and send Carrie Prejean back to obscurity!!

I hear something about the pageant organization paying for them...does that mean that she just used some sort of prize money she got for winning some pageant to pay for them...or did the organization (which one?) pay for them out of their treasury?

Not only is Miss Prejean on Focus on the Family, but they took out a full page frigging ad in USA Today promoting the fact.

I almost puked.

As I said in a letter to the paper I just wrote, I hope she's smart enough to realize she's being exploited by Focus and all the other anti-gay marriage groups she's aligned herself with far more than she's been by any of her beauty pageant handlers.

But I doubt it.
