Cate Blanchett To Play Lucille Ball In New Biopic — Page 2

I almost always hate biopics of people as iconic as Lucy. NO ONE can do her justice. No matter who plays her I'll spend the entire time thinking how much she doesn't have what Lucy had. Same goes for Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland and anyone else with that big of a talent/persona. If you're not them, I'm going to spend the whole time thinking about how you're not them.

I'm not at all against Cate Blanchett, I think she's very talented and up there with Streep, and many other "greats".

I just think the casting is slightly odd, mainly because shes playing against type, but she'll likely prove me wrong. It will be interesting!

Or maybe they just need the money?

PLEASE let the kids call their production company LuciDes.
