The dancer sketch was fun, but up to that point, I found it dire (as usual).
And enjoy the beauty - all the joy and beauty - that a Merry Christmas can bring to you!

re: Catherine is HOOOOOOOOOTTTT on SNL!!!!

I thought the dancer sketch was really funny up to the ending. The opening one with the "completely spontanious Q & A" wasn't too bad, either. Other than that, not too good, though CZJ was great in her song - even if it wasn't all that funny.

EDIT: And yes, they should write a role for CZJ. Hey, maybe a Zoro musical with her and Antonio Banderes?

I hate the Zorro films.

They should write a movie musical for her!!

I would see that. Whatever the role, it has to be fiery or vampish. I do not want to see Catherine as the good girl.

Antonio and Catherine in The Addams Family: The Musical
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

Weekend Update is probably one of the funniest segments on television right now, but they NEED to write better cast member characters for the breaks between the news. Tonight was decent, but it's been pitiful for awhile.

re: Catherine is HOOOOOOOOOTTTT on SNL!!!!

I want to see Catherine in SOME musical (A Little Night Music....cough), but her voice is just so brassybelt. (Not saying that's a bad thing...) but...one can dream.

Boy. Some people just have it all.

Night Music? Well, I'm not sure about that, but I'd sure as hell see it.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, that WOULD be pretty interesting, if nothing else.

She's all Italian now...Franca in Piazza! Gah. I don't know. I'm just so desperate, I'd see her in anything. And Night Music? I was just happening to listen to it.

She could do Les Mis, too.

re: Catherine is HOOOOOOOOOTTTT on SNL!!!!

YOu thought that was funny? I think this episode is MISERABLY terrible - like SNL has been for the last few years.

The only funny thing all night was during the news segment, when she said something about how Spongebob is finally coming to CHina so the children will finally know what they've been making for the last few years, or whatever. I liked that, but SNL is so disappointing...
