No one REALLY believes this do they? Every time I hear this stupid superstition it makes me enraged. You might well say that when you sneeze, it's your soul trying to escape and saying god bless you stuffs it back in.

At the rate they are dropping in the past few weeks, I think they come in eights or ninths.

It's human instinct to perceive (or create) patterns in things. And three is a symbolic number in lots of cultures.
But no, I doubt anybody REALLY believes it.

I think everyone with an AFTRA or SAG card breathes easier once number 3 occurs.
There used to be a joke in the 70s that Helen Hayes would get very nervous until the 3rd death was announced.
As of this writing we're up to four.

boom, and we're ready for a brand new one!
Atropos is paid for sets of three. If she only snips one or two threads before the end of the pay period, she doesn't get paid (and they can't carry over to the next pay period). Follow the dollars, always.
Well, Bernie Madoff might as well have just been sentenced to death.
jg2, never, ever assume, hun. you know that.
I am learning that daily. Nothing left to believe in anyway. lol

Actually, unless it's a plane crash or something similar, your average celebrity death comes one at a time.

David Carradine kicked this round off. The second two have up to 30 days (everything in multiples of 3). Farrah closed the first trio and MJ started the next one.
This was the first I heard about Fred.
Were Bea Arthur and Natasha Richardson part of the previous three?
I think my dad was fraternity brothers with Fred Travalena.
Not on the level of MJ or some of the others

Very much depends on who you're talking to, Eris. I daresay Bill T Jones, Madonna, Michael Jackson and many others owe a great deal to Pina.
A bit of Pina's choreography. Look for more. It's worth it.
Yes, but where are the people waiting in line for three hours or more to put flowers on her star on the walk of fame? Where are the people crying in the streets? That's kinda what I meant. MJ and some of the others have gotten such a huge amount of coverage while Pina is a secondary story on Theatermania
