Posted: 4/18/06 at 3:00pmI admit. I'm also addicted to Chapstick. I even keep some in my beach cooler so it doesn't melt when I go to the beach.

this is pretty funny, because I've been a closet lip balm abuser for decades. My favorite of all time was Vaseline's lip balm, but they stopped making it. It came in a yellow container and a purple container. I now have to use lipmoisture from chapstick. It isnt as good, but I am now used to it. Regular chapstick is too waxy.
I always have to have a tube on my person at all times...if I go out without it, I go back and get it!

I am addicted to lip balm. Errrm, it's not a good thing when you have three tubes sitting on your desk and you use them interchangeably.
Someone gave me an soy based based lip balm with safflower and jojoba...the other day...and I am unfortunately addicted.
I have my tube of chapstick all natural...
...I use the medicated kind compulsively in the winter.
But I absolutely adore philosophy's kiss me! :) A slight tint, that almost reminds me of Dr. Pepper lipsmackers, but a more flattering tint.
And if godforbid I ever run out of lip balm...there's a small tub of vasaline somewhere...

straight vaseline goes on before bedtime...on my lips, of course.
The lips have to be supple! Who wants to kiss chapped lips?

I only use the ChapStick Medicated kind, because all other stuff dries out my lips more. Although I know I use it too much since on the tube it specifically says "adults and children 2 years of age & older: apply to lips no more than 3 to 4 times daily.
If I don't have my chapstick with me at all times I get nervous and start licking my lips, which just causes them to become more dry.

Posted: 4/18/06 at 4:31pmI literally have to have Chapstick in at least every room. My bedroom has 3 sticks. I CANNOT and WILL NOT leave home without it! I'd rather forget my keys than my chapstick! I can't go an hour without the Chapstick lest my lips become chapped!

Just don't leave it in your pockets when you do the laundry.
Chapstick after going through the washer and dryer is not a pretty sight.

I have been chapstick addicted for 2 years now. Ever since I started playing the oboe, my lips would be dry and I would use it. I know constantly have to use it.
Now that I know there is hope, I'm gonna try going sober soon.
Thank god for this thread, it has changed my life.

i was looking around on that website from the second post, and started laughing beacuse one of the questions from someone on the website reminded me of myself... it was from someone who collects lip balms but never uses them.
i have a huge glas milk bottle on my dresser filled with lip stuff that i hardly ever need to use.

Posted: 4/18/06 at 5:25pmLee's Sippers in Frozen Lemonade is my absolute favorite thing ever. (And only the lemonade one, I've used the orange, and I swear, it isn't as good.) My local drugstore stopped selling them so my mom (who is also adicted to them) started ordering them off the internet.

I've never been attached to ChapStick but since this thread came in to being last July, I bought some and carry it around with me all the time.
Sad, sad...

You are all in denial!!!
Since I posted in July (on the first page of this thread) I fell off the wagon once, in December of last year when someone gave me a stocking stuffer of mistletoe chapstick. I am now back on the wagon and my chapstick sobriety is going into it's 5th month.

I am hopelessly addicted to Cotton Candy Lip Smacker by Bonne Bell. I always buy them two at a time and become nearly inconsolable when they run out.
If I ever went on Survivor, that would be my luxury item.
