ChapStick Addiction

I just posted this yesterday in the myths thread....

I used to scoff at the "Chapstick puts a chemical in their lip balms to actually dry out your lips and make you want more" rumor.

I don't now.

I started using Chapstick last Winter, when I had a cold. Last week, someone at work told me I was in denial and was addicted to Chapstick. Why, you ask? Because I own over 25 different tubes of chapstick and have a stick in every room, location, bag, meeting room, etc that I ever enter! I was constantly reapplying throughout the day, and I never used the stuff before the cold I had! I was sent to a website devoted to the Chapstick evil and I was shocked at what I found out.

I am now in Day 4 of my chapstick sobriety. It was hard at first; my lips were dry and craving the sweet stuff over the weekend. But I am happy to say that I have officially kicked the chapstick habit.

or Blistex DCT (the stuff in the little orange tins)

I was downstairs to the store in my building and they were out of ChapStick, so I have Vaseline Lip Therapy for the afternoon.

I love chapstick! Does anybody else smooth over the top with a tissue to make it perfectly straight with no bumps???...ohh, maybe that's just my OCD...

I use beeswax on my lips in the morning after I get out of the shower, and I don't have to think about dry lips after that... you should all invest in a jar.

I have Kiels also, it is OK,I just like the tube better. There is a Kiels baby balm which is in a tube but it was 7$

Love the citrus one Zoran...that one stays in my work bag.

Similiar addiction, but to Blistex. I'm the same way in that I panic if its not within reach. I'm looking at it sitting on my desk right now.

The worst side-effect of Blistex addiction is forgetting a tube (since I always have at least two) in your clothes when you wash and dry them. I've ruined MANY clothes this way.
