Danny DeVito is my cousin. My very distant cousin. My mom remembers playing with him when they were little kids. She hasn't had contact with him since she was about 10 though.

Just thought I'd throw that around.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

What about take-out that you go and pick up?

I normally don't tip on take-out that I pick up at the restaurant. I'd say a dollar in the tip jar at most, if you're feeling generous. The people who work the counter at a restaurant are paid minimum wage (sometimes more) and there is very little work required in packaging take-out, as opposed to the delivery driver who has to pay for his own gas and brave all kinds of weather to get the food to your home.

I never got tips when I worked retail so I don't tip when all a person does is put something in a bag and ring me up. And I never yell at them because I want each carton of ice cream in a different bag or ask for a discount because I'm buying two cartons instead of one.

I don't tip when I'm picking up food either. I always feel cheap when I'm picking up pizza and there is a space on the charge thing for a tip, and I don't leave one. Of course if I had had it delivered I would tip the delivery person though.
