Tickets went on sale this morning for Cher at Caesar's Palace. Bette Midler opens in a few weeks, and when she is off, Cher will do 3-4 shows a week, for the next 3 years. Elton John is also performing on the nights that Bette and Cher are off.
I saw Celine there last year and the show was fantastic.
Elton John, Cher, Bette Midler?! Apparently they're not counting on the hetero ticket-buyers, huh?
Hell, it's like the first Cher Show on CBS! Cher, Bette and Elton John. All that is missing is Flip Wilson. He won't be making any surprise appearances.
I'm not interested in seeing any of these people.
I've always thought singers come to Vegas to die.
It's like the last stop on the express way or something.
You have no taste in concert-going, Austin!
I'll go if I get free tickets.
I'll go with you if you get free tickets.
I'll give you both my free tickets, if I get them.
We saw The Producers for free, thanks to KB Home. It was David Hasselhoff's last night!
Maybe KB Home'll give us more free tickets!
I have seen Bette once, Elton when he was with Billy Joel once and Cher four times. Cyndi Lauper opened up for her. It was heaven. I am a flamboyant gay man stuck in a woman's body.
I'd see Bette over Elton and Cher.
Amber, you are truly the best of both worlds.
The Vegas strip is no longer the dumping ground for has-beens. It is more lucrative than ever. Yes, has-beens still abound in Vegas, but at the crappier casinos, not Caesars.

Nitsua;
That shows how out of touch with things you are. Vegas is where peformers want to be now. They offer the most money, great venues, and the chance to go home to the same bed every night.
Your way of thinking ended about 15 years ago.
Meanwhile... I have an ad for Wayne Newton at the bottom of my BWW screen. lol

I knew Cher was lying when she proclaimed a couple of years back that her last tour was her "farewell" tour.
Well, technically it's not a "tour".

She swore she would never perform again! I was elated. What a let down!
j/k
I thought she said she would never tour again, not that she would neve perform.
Cher never said that she wasn't going to perform again. She said she'd never tour again. A very big difference.
Yes, granted her Farewell Tour lasted a few years, but good for her. That's exactly what it was....a farewell tour. If it takes 3 months or 3 years, still doesn't change what it was.

geez louise relax...i was only joking. please read my signature for further instruction.
DON'T MESS WITH CHER!
I can't wait. I saw her farewell tour 4 times. Including the very, very, last performance at the Hollywood Bowl. And let me join the chorus.. She said she wouldn't tour. Her Vegas stint was already rumored before the tour even started.
DAME.....exactly! Cher coming to Caesar's Palace was not a big secret at all.
Once again, Cher never, ever said that she was not going to perform again. She said that she would never tour again. A very big difference.

i wish Cher would do an accoustic show @ Joes Pub!!!!
She had said at one point that she wanted to focus on films, but honestly, since her face doesn't move much anymore, good roles would be hard to come by. I will say this, she did an interview on Dateline two nights ago and she looked much better than she has in a long time. Her lips looked very natural. She appeared to be a little chunky. She had on a wavy, shoulder length wig. I thought she looked great.
