Posted: 11/18/09 at 10:51amThe Gideons have made it their mission to put a bible in every hotel room. I wish the Sisters of Perpetual indulgence would try to stock each room with a copy of Honcho "To offer relief and comfort to the weary traveler."

No, he would have said the Gordon Merrick collection but he realized it would be too revealing.
OH MY GOD! Thank you, Namo! I read The Quirk when I was in high school and for nearly two decades, I had completely forgotten the author and title. I think I even mentioned it on the OT board years ago. I'd love to read it again, but since it is out of print, the price for new or used copies on Amazon are outrageous. It was my first gay novel and though it's pretty much silly rubbish, I still have fond memories of it.
I'd contribute to the topic, but it's just really stupid.

I know nothing about the Gideons other than their belief that a Bible may, in fact, provide some comfort to some lonely and desperate person somewhere. All joking aside, the intent is quite human and helpful, no?
No. That's why hotels have bars.
