yes dolphin, that was it! I can still sing every lyric t othe theme song to this day! How sad is that?? It was such a cool song though:
Once upon a time, in a school in outer space
There was a class of misfit kids from all around the place
They snuck aboard a mystery ship
But soon slipped through a spacial rip
And now they're stuck on a long strange trip
Harlan Band leaps before he looks
Commander Goddard does not go by the book
Radu's really super strong, Andriod Thelma functions wrong
Bova acts like nothings funny, Rosie's cheery, bright, and sunny!
Catalinas best friend Suzi isn't there...They're Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace Cases!!!!

the girl who played catalina was on firefly. and didn't she and suzi switch places at some point?
oh, and don't forget welcome freshmen, and does anyone remember the nick soap opera? i think it was called 15 or something like that.
re: CLARRISA EXPLAINTS IT ALL (And Other Nick Classics) On Its Way To DVD#27

Yes, when Jewel Staite (Catalina) went on to other projects, her character was killed off in a very dramatic two-part episode. I hated the girl who played Suzi though. Ugh!!
I wasn't much into Welcome Freshmen, but I can't believe someone else remembers FIFTEEN! I have no idea why I loved that show, seeing as how I watched it when I was 8...but whatever. The cool thing is, I actually met the ENTIRE male cast of that show almost 10 years ago! My family was walking around Universal Studios, and they happened to be there and luckily my sister spotted them, so we got autographs and pics. I thought I was so cool! ahh that was such a fun show. Remember the jock Matts drinking problem, and the relationship problems with him and Ashley? that Brooke was always trying to ruin things!! By the way, I can't believe I remember these characters names =P

re: CLARRISA EXPLAINTS IT ALL (And Other Nick Classics) On Its Way To DVD#29
Posted: 2/9/05 at 7:24pmi missed when they killed catalina. all i know is i saw it with her, and then suzie was on it, and she had crazy hair and i didn't like her. i thought that they had just switched places or something. catalina got stuck in suzie's dimension. oh well. and i didn't actually like fifteen, i just remember it. i did like welcome freshmen however.

oh wait, you're right, Catalina wasn't really killed, she was just in Suzis dimention and we never saw her again. I got mixed up
But yeah the first season with Catalina is really the best one.

Okay... I have a million bazillion things to say on this topic...but I'll divide them into different posts...b/c I can and this is soooo much fun!
First off, what can come off being the most important part of this post, for some of you that mentioned some of the old game shows and nicktoons, I have digital cable which gets the Nicktoon channel and Nickelodeon GAS. All of the nicktoons such as ahhh! real monsters, rocko, and even doug are on it! On GAS, the games used to go back even further to Make the Grade and Think Fast!, now they mainly show Double Dare, Guts and Global Guts, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Figure It Out, Finders Keepers, Get the Picture, and occasionally Nick Arcade(my fav nick game show!) I know some of you guys mentioned wanting to see these shows, so would anyone be interested in tape trading? I was able to do that a couple years ago 2 get six hey dude!(my fav nick show) episodes and 2 salute ur shorts episodes(If someone really wants to trade for that, I'll see what I can do but I'm really bad at copying tapes). Especially for people who have Space Cases on tape hehe...I'd probably be interested in most of these old Nick shows, old Nick Jr. shows(how can someone hate Eureeka's Castle, I was obsessed with that show!) as well as old Disney shows(Welcome to Pooh Corner, Under the Umbrella Tree, Dumbo's Circus, etc.) and well anyone interested, PM me and let me know what you have and I will most likely be interested.
re: CLARRISA EXPLAINTS IT ALL (And Other Nick Classics) On Its Way To DVD#32
Posted: 2/9/05 at 7:45pmi loved finders keepers. totally forgot about that one. sadly, i just never liked eureka's castle.
re: CLARRISA EXPLAINTS IT ALL (And Other Nick Classics) On Its Way To DVD#33
Posted: 2/9/05 at 7:47pmI loved clarissa and all those other nick shows!! This is so exciting! salute your shorts, what would you do, legends of the hidden temple! Oh and you gotta love Eureka's castle!!
My Space Cases post#34
Posted: 2/9/05 at 7:48pm
Ahhh, yaay to all the Space Cases lovers, I loved this one too! Everythingisrent, I was in the writing campaign to Herb Scannell too, I wonder if we used to chat on the Space Cases chat room or be in the club Zabagabe! or anything. I was YonzoGizzy back then. We also wrote to Lisa...Clancy(edit: Just remembered her name!)Something like that to try to get Space Cases books written...and I still remember disliking and refusing to watch Shelby Woo because it replaced Space Cases.
Couple clarification points(you can tell I loooved this show), in the final episode of the first season, the crew found an abandoned ship which turned out to be headed by Warlord Shank of the spung race who wanted to kill them all. They all managed to escape, except at first Catalina, who Harlan(I loved them together) started crying and then suddenly you saw Suzee(spelled this way) who warped Catalina into her dimension to get her out of the ship but could not get her back so they ended up switching places. Also interesting note: The other dimension was called Yensid-Jewel Staite could not come back for the 2nd season because before the 2nd season was approved she was signed to the Disney channel show Flash Forward-she was stuck in Yensid, which is Disney spelled backwards.
I also had a huge crush on Kristian Ayre, who played Radu, and remember loving Radu and Elmira(spung girl) as a couple. Oh man, did I love that show. Okay, guess that's enough Space Cases love. One more thing I can't resist...since the first one was posted:
Space Cases Season 2 Theme Song
Beginning is same
Harlan Band leaps before he looks
Suzee's smarter than a million books
Radu's really super strong
Android Thelma functions wrong
Bova acts like nothing's funny
Rosie's cheery bright and sunny
Davenport and Goddard do the best they can
They're SPAAAAAAAAAAAAACE CASES!!

What can I say, I'm the energizer bunny tonight. That's crazy, as I was reading the thread, I was gonna mention Fifteen b/c except me and my sister, no one remembers it! I also think it was weird liking it when I was 8...I remembered all the stuff you mentioned. There was also a character Courtney who I think was best friends with Ashley.
Okay, now just random things on shows b/c I am so friggin nostalgic and I loooved these old TV shows. Hey Dude, Brad was so much better with Ted than with Kyle, Kyle just annoyed me. Sadly most of the couple of episodes of Hey Dude I got from trading have Kyle/Jake on them instead of Ted. Oh well, guess it's better than nothing.
Remember how Pete & Pete started out as little shorts played during commercials and then had a couple specials(like the one where the ice cream man disappeared, my fav episode!), and then turned into a show?
Alex Mack I actually watched a bit on Noggin two years ago and saw the series finale for the first time ever, I don't know too many people who watched all the way through to that. I never knew that everyone found out about her powers and stuff.
Ooh, comment on Roundhouse-I know for a time, I'm not positive if it was always this way, the Snick lineup was Clarissa at 8, Roundhouse at 8:30, Ren & Stimpy at 9, and Are You Afraid of the Dark? at 9:30. I think this is the original Snick.-the big orange couch. IMO, Roundhouse was much better than it's follower All That.
Hmmm...about Nick Jr...not all those shows were mentioned, let's see Eureeka's Castle was my fav, but then there was Sharon, Lois, and Bram's Elephant Show(skinnamarink!), Adventures of the Little Koala(anyone remember?), Maple Town(again anyone remember-Patty Rabbit and Bobby Bear?), Maya the Bee, David the Gnome, some kind of Fred show...
Okay, time to take a pause, but I'm sure I'll be back to make more random ramblings about my old TV shows. Did I mention I actually made a TV theme CD with all the theme songs of these shows on them? It's so much fun to play with freinds...nearly everyone screams when the Saved by the Bell theme song comes on.
Okay, done for now I promise!

wickedrentq, I think you are my new best friend!! LOL Seriosuly, we MUST have come across each other in some way, because I was on so many different random SC boards! But I was never in Zabagabe or anything...haha but I love that word!! Oh my goodness I looooved Elvira!! Remember when she and Radu kissed?? ::melts:: I remember I loved reading fanfics about Radu and Elvira having a daughter and the "next generation" of Space Cases! LOL good times, good times...
Does anyone else think its funny how SO MANY of the boys from Newsies were also i nRoundhouse?? LOL I was obsessed with Dominic Lucero...it was so sad he died...it must have been 10 years ago already. ::sigh::: Ahh this is bringing back so many memories!

Woah. And I thought I watched a lot of TV as a child.
Anyway, I didn't really watch Space Cases, but I do remember the title part of the theme song. :)

Posted: 2/10/05 at 12:47ammidnight, did we share a parellel childhood some how? all those shows were AWESOME. btw i'm glad every likes roundhouse, too. i have them all on tape, via ebay. ebay is your friend!
My Fifteen post and other ramblings#41
Posted: 2/10/05 at 2:14amI loved Zoobilee Zoo! Blockbuster used to have copies of it a LONG time ago. That is the one show I was obsessed with in my childhood that I don't have at least one episode on tape. My main show though was Babar on HBO. I have all but three episodes on tape. I loved that show man.

I don't remember anything about Roundhouse, except the opening credits, with dancing. It had a fairly bare set, and a tipped couch...that's all I remember.
So I went to Tower Records today, and I almost bought the first season of Full House...and then I didn't have enough money, as I was also buying a CD and "New York New York". I was also considering the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". But why should I buy it when it's on TV every 3 minutes? FYI, The first season of Punky Brewster is also available.
Space Cases I never watched. Ever. But in the summer, me and my two friends were hanging out. And one said "Let's watch Space Cases!" He has every episode on tape. Weird. I didn't like the show so much. Of course, I'm 19 now.
I think we all need to seriously track to Neil Patrick Harris and ask him to get "Doogie Howser MD" on DVD. That was a great show!
Dinosaurs was funny! And I still must repeat my love of "Alex Mack"
Now, does anyone remember "Out of This World", It's funny that I remember it, being it was on the air between 1987-1991. I was ages 2-6. So I don't know why. Also, we need "Small Wonder" (which I also shouldn't remember but do).
Now that was television!

Yaay Everythingisrent, I have a new best friend LOL. Elmira and Radu kissed in Spung at Heart, right, the first episode she appeared in or did it happen later? I really liked them together, but my favorite was Harlan and Catalina. I was soo mad when she left and they had that episode where Harlan liked Suzee, eww. It was soo sweet at the end of the season one finale where he was like I never had a chance to tell her, she never knew how much I liked her. Aww, so cute. And I was involved in some fanfiction clubs, but it was more well little-kid ones, like we all created a personality and wrote our own stories about our crew. and we must have run in to each other, because I too was all over the boards. I remember talking to Jewel Staite a couple of times, and Paige Christina, she was really nice, and both sent me an autograph pic I was soo excited LOL. We also arranged chats with creator Peter David for my Space Cases fanclub, god I feel embarassed lol. If you're interested, I made a Space Cases fansite when I was 10, I'm too embarassed to publicly post it because...well I was 10, but PM me if you want the link.
Ooh, my sister bought the Punky Brewster DVD, it was awesome to see that again. Did anyone happen to check if there's any special features on the Full House DVD, like interviews with the cast now or something? I might buy it if the features are good.
I can't believe other people remember Out of This World! It was about a girl who was half-alien and could change time, and the theme song was "Swinging on a star," I loved that song! Okay, since other people are posting it, this isn't even everything I watched, but here's the shows that I put on my TV theme song CD, most of them were among favorites for me:
Punky Brewster
Hey Dude
Adventures of Pete & Pete
Out of this World
Blossom
Full House
Family Matters
Growing Pains
Who's the Boss
Charles in Charge
Perfect Strangers
Wonder Years
Eureeka's Castle

Adventures of the Little Koala
Maple Town
Maya the Bee
David the Gnome
Under the Umbrella Tree
Welcome to Pooh Corner
Adventures in Wonderland
Dumbo's Circus
Gummi Bears
Wuzzles
Rainbow Brite
Care Bears
The Muppet Show
Muppet Babies
Fraggle Rock
Sesame Street
Saved By the Bell
Saved by the bell: the college years
Alvin & the Chipmunks
Space Cases
Heathcliff
Tiny Toons
Inspector Gadget
Salute Your Shorts
More I can't remember. Other favorites not included on my CD: Mousercise(got up at 6AM every morning!), Clarissa, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Alex Mack, Captain Planet, and well probably more, I'll post more as I remember! I love nostalgia!
My Fifteen post and other ramblings#45
Posted: 2/10/05 at 11:03amI bought the Full House DVD, the only special features it has are an unaired pilot episode with a different Danny Tanner and commentary by the producers. It also comes with a bonus disk that has an episode of Growing Pains And Step By Step on it.
My Fifteen post and other ramblings#46
Posted: 2/10/05 at 11:26amThanks for the info on Full House. Hmm...see how I feel, there's also a good chance if I'm patient it'll come to my library and I can see the whole thing that way, that's how I watched the OC on DVD. It should be interesting to see that pilot though, I really really can't imagine a different Danny Tanner. And I was never a huge Step By Step fan, but I love Growing Pains so that should be cool to see as well.

I also loved Space Cases that was a great show. What ever happend to Nick? It used to be great not it's just one bad show after another.
I also loved
Eureka's Castle (my favorite show when I was younger)
Salute your shorts
Pete and Pete
Wild and Crazy Kids
Guts
Are you Afraid of the Dark?
and much more.
Did anyone here watch the Mystery Files of Shebly Woo?
My Fifteen post and other ramblings#49
Posted: 2/10/05 at 5:48pmi forgot about wild n krazy kids! but i liked it with the original female host... i never liked jessica (the one they replaced her with).
My Fifteen post and other ramblings#50
Posted: 2/10/05 at 6:52pm
The original female host was Annette...Chavez? I think and Jessica Gaines was the new host, I forgot that one too.
Mr. Midwest, you made me remember some I forgot like Avonlea(don't know why i watched that...), Ramona, Babysitters Club(and of course I had like every book!), My Little Pony, wild & crazy and all of those Nick game shows. Also loved 90210 when I was 4, weird.
And Midnightdolphin, you're totally forgiven for not liking Eureeka's Castle because...Buffy is in you're avator(Can you tell I decided any great TV show can be discussed in this thread?) Buffy was another one of the ones I was obsessed with, but only through the third season. See I looooooooooved Buffy and Angel together(another reason I like your pic) but the show went down after he left, the 5th season wasn't too bad, and there was some bright moments in the 6th season like Buffy the musical and Tabula Rosa which was hysterical, but otherwise totally not the same. 2nd season was the best, that finale...between Buffy and Angel...I remember crying soo hard and I had a social studies test the next day which I tried to study for after and got tears on my textbook.
Let's not talk about what I think has happened to Nickelodeon and the Disney channel since I was little...
