The original female host was Annette...Chavez? I think and Jessica Gaines was the new host, I forgot that one too.

Mr. Midwest, you made me remember some I forgot like Avonlea(don't know why i watched that...), Ramona, Babysitters Club(and of course I had like every book!), My Little Pony, wild & crazy and all of those Nick game shows. Also loved 90210 when I was 4, weird.

And Midnightdolphin, you're totally forgiven for not liking Eureeka's Castle because...Buffy is in you're avator(Can you tell I decided any great TV show can be discussed in this thread?) Buffy was another one of the ones I was obsessed with, but only through the third season. See I looooooooooved Buffy and Angel together(another reason I like your pic) but the show went down after he left, the 5th season wasn't too bad, and there was some bright moments in the 6th season like Buffy the musical and Tabula Rosa which was hysterical, but otherwise totally not the same. 2nd season was the best, that finale...between Buffy and Angel...I remember crying soo hard and I had a social studies test the next day which I tried to study for after and got tears on my textbook.

It's really sad even just a couple of years ago when shows like Buffy were on there was still great TV and soo many shows I loved to watch, but now, and I think reality TV has a lot to do it, the only show I absolutely have to watch on a regular basis is the OC. The rest...ehh. Too bad, I miss the days of better shows.

Let's not talk about what I think has happened to Nickelodeon and the Disney channel since I was little...

wicked,
buffy got me through high school. the first 3 seasons were the best. buffy and angel! none of this spike stuff. but i can't believe you liked season 5. i hate that season. i hate dawn and i hate glory. and i didn't like the whole killing buffy and bringing her back thing. but yeah, i love buffy, and angel too. and i got my roomies hooked on buffy. we started at season 1 and we're halfway through season 5 now. and i just ordered the first disc of season 1 of angel from netflix... so there's another one to get them hooked on. That's pretty funny because those seasons of Buffy got me through junior high. Long before the DVDs or syndication started, I ordered tapes of the first 2 1/2 seasons(ended it at season 3's "Amends"(Buffy Christmas!) because that's where Buffy and Angel are back together again and I get to say the end. Season 5 by no means compared to the first 3 seasons, but I at least think it was the best out of the other 4, season 4 was horrible! I didn't mind Buffy dying, coming back was stupid, though I would have first wanted a Buffy/Angel reunion or at least make-up to be together in afterlife...or something, I wouldn't have minded the show ending with season 5, it was a nice send-off to her. And I hated almost everything about season 7, I basically stopped watching until the finale after Giles tried to help kill Spike and Buffy told Giles that he's taught all she needs. I was screaming Buffy would never say that to Giles! Ulgh. And I never liked Buffy and Spike, though nothing was as bad as Riley. But man, did I love Buffy and Angel. Especially when Angel turned bad for half the second season, I remember watching and grasping on to every moment, I would scream to Willow look on the floor, there's the disk, make Angel good again! LOL. As for Angel the Series, I really only watched up until Doyle died, that really disappointed me and I couldn't watch anymore. But I still have "I Will Remember You" on tape. Has to be the best episode of Angel, another one I was hysterical during. Okay, I'm sure I'll write more on this subject.

Wow, I love how I completely threadjacked this thread-go me!

i missed season 7 cause it was always on at weird times here, like 2 am... same with angel. but in general, i agree with you. dawn just annoys me to no end. and i thought the whole glory being a god was so predictable. i did like dracula though (from season 5). but whatever. they shouldn't have killed her and brought her back. all of season 7 is based on the christmas episode with buffy and angel... the first. at least i think it was the christmas episode from like season 3. but anyway, the whole season's based on that, and that's about as much as i know. i'll see it soon enough anyway. and to clarify, buffy started when i was in 7th grade (we didn't have a middle school, so 7-12 was in the high school) so buffy got me through high school. Oops, uh, sorry to give one small part away. My advice is to miss most of season 7. I mean obviously see the finale, and umm "Storyteller" was a good episode...but since ur especially not a Spike and Buffy fan...oh well, I know you can't help yourself being a huge Buffy fan I suppose wanting to see season 7, just don't give in to high expectations. I was incredibly disappointed with most of the season, the only good thing about it was continuity(references to past episodes), ooh and the brief Buffy/Angel reunion from the end of the second to last episode to the finale. Makes me really sad that Sarah didn't come on to Angel to give them a final sendoff. Grr.

Oh okay, I thought it meant I was much younger than you, but I still kinda am, Buffy started I guess when I was in 5th grade but I didn't really start watching it till the middle of season 2. I really wonder what it must have been like to discover Angel was a vampire, or if everyone knew all along or something. Oh well.

What did you think of Buffy the musical, though?

after the very first episode, i said that angel was a vampire. my best friend, who also saw it was like, no he's not. but i was so right. just like in the glory season i was like, she's a god. then what do they say? "she's not a demon... she's a god." but i love angel. and you didn't really give anything away. one of my other friends told me what happens in season 7, and i saw a couple episodes. but yeah, i just want to see it so that i can say that i've seen every episode, cause i've seen them all but season 7. and i liked the musical. they hyped it for soooo long though. but yeah, it was good. alas, i still think buffy and angel should have been together.

Yeah, like in season 7 you'll see, the Scooby Gang doesn't figure out who the big bad is for a couple of episodes but by the second episode I knew it was the First from the Christmas episode, then again I watched that episode soo many times because it's one of my favorites b/c Buffy and Angel get back together but yeah. I mean, you'll see they leave it somewhat open-ended at the end of Buffy, the last time they see each other, but again, I would have wished for somehting more definite on the end of Angel. Oh well, in my heart, they're together...see there's a place for them...somewhere, someday. And good luck with season 7, you'll need it, I understand, I watched most of it too but some days I just really wish there were certain episodes I never saw and could erase from memory. But you'll see, if you remember when you're done, let me know what you think.

BTW, EverythingisRent and other Space Cases fans I just checked my old website...god...but now I'm in total flashback mood and remember more about the show and wanna discuss it more so come discuss!

And anyone still feel free to discuss the other shows, despite my pretty bad threadjacks. Or is just like some of my questions about the other shows, I'm the only one who still cares about that stuff or the only one who has way to good a memory to remember all that stuff? LOL.

Ooh, one more thing. I always felt great for remembering this...Eureeka's Castle fans, does anyone remember the first and I'm pretty sure only Eureeka's Castle primetime special called "What's in the box?" I think they had a box that they were trying to fix and it did weird things like shrink Magellan and turn Quag and Bog into a sandwich, not that this episode is that important, but it's just one of those things that stuck with me I guess.

PETE & PETE is coming, too.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

*puts Pete & Pete DVDs on wishlist* AWESOME show! One of my faves when I was a kid. I watch the reruns on Noggin whenever I get the chance.

Also- let's see some "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Another good one!

"During this performance, please feel free to let your cell phones and pagers ring willy-nilly. However, do remember that there are heavily-armed knights on stage and you might well be dragged up and impaled." (Pre-curtain announcement at the new Broadway musical Monty Python's Spamalot)

Wow Gov, what scared you about Eureeka's Castle? The only thing I could think of is Magellan's size, but he always just reminded me a lot of Big Bird. Then again I have a cousin who was very scared of Big Bird...

Speaking of being scared of old shows, I never liked You Can't Do That On Television, does anyone remember between sketches/clips some guys face would come on like broken puzzle pieces? I don't know why but seeing that always terrified me and I ran from the room screaming whenever it came on.

My sister was also terrified of the manichan(sp) who came alive on Today's Special.

Fabala, if you love Are You Afraid of the Dark, last year while searching around my local library, I came across 3 old Are You Afraid of the Dark tapes. You may wanna try a library to find some of the tapes, or if not, I know they're out somewhere sweeping around. Good luck!

Yup, I used to love Adventures in Wonderland!(slightly odd because I never liked the movie Alice...oh well) Fun show, there was the queen and rollerskating white rabbit, hatter, hare, and doormouse, tweetle dee and dumb, the chesire cat, and the big catepillar who always told a story. Let's see how much of the theme song I remember, forgive me for leaving out words, I probably never knew them:

Hold on to your...something
Let's go for a ride

Err, okay don't remember much of the first verse, but here's the main part:

Use your imagination and you'll understand
It's an adventure in wonderland
Where everyday there's something new
With music rhyme, and a dance or two

Use your imagination and you'll understand
It's an adventure in wonderland
Adventure in wonderland
Adventure in wonderland
(Cool music comes on after)

They have the opening credits sequences of tons of shows.

I'm doing a show right now with an actress named Maris Hudson who was a regular on PETE AND PETE when she was around 11 years old. She's 21 now, and got her degree from The Theatre School at DePaul University last spring.

You mean All That, JayKid? Because Snick was a set of shows, kind of like TGIF. Ah, old-school All That. "Vital Information" had me in pain from laughter.
