#526re: Classic General Hospital
Posted: 10/27/06 at 9:32amYes. A lot of the principal cast members work there.

I agree, Rath--had I not known that Laura would wake up thanks to the media blitz it would have had more impact. It was still great, though. I love Genie and Tony together. You can't manufacture that kind of chemistry! When Laura first said they were on their way to their wedding, I froze for a second because I thought she was talking about their first wedding!
One thing, though...is Robin a dumbass or what? Shouldn't she have warned the kids to wait to go in to see their mother, because the shock of seeing them all so much older may be too upsetting/dangerous for her?
I hope Luke brings Robert in for a visit. They shared so many adventures together in the old days and I'd love some flashbacks!
I'm just so afraid of an Oliver Sacks ending. I wish she'd stay for good.
Does Tracy know about any of this?

No, she doesn't.
Nobody can quiver a lip, nor c*ck an eyebrow quite like Genie can!

Posted: 11/5/06 at 2:29pmI have to catch up on them, too, bdwaygirl. Thanks for the heads up about Genie and Tony on The View! I wonder if Rosie ever had the GH/Luke and Laura fever (I know she was a huge AMC fan)! If so it should be a fun show.
#546re: Classic General Hospital
Posted: 11/5/06 at 7:57pmI'm pretty sure I remember her talking about Luke and Laura several times when she had her show. When Laura came back in October, The View ladies were talking about it a few different times. Elisabeth even had a GH t-shirt on the day Genie returned.

Yes, I saw that...Elizabeth wore the classic General Hospital t-shirt with PEARLS. It looked ridiculous. I can't believe that bitch is supposed to be the "style savvy" one of the bunch.
Anyway, back to GH.
Oh. My. F--king. God! Leslie's reunion with Laura was the best thing ever! I loved it. Rath was right...no one cries like Leslie.
Tracy was great.
One dick move by the writers...I know that "backstory" is very important on soaps, and that they need to explain events to new and returning viewers. But couldn't they have done a better job of explaining what happened to Laura? Robin is Laura's doctor and caregiver. She just gave her the frigging Awakenings pill. You'd think she'd know her history and the exact events leading up to the catatonia. The way she basically said to Luke, "refresh my memory..." was lame! And Kimberly McCullough being a crappy actress didn't help.

What amused me was that Laura was able to get a taxi and get out of there without one person noticing her.
I wish we could have a whole week with just that storyline and the people it involves. Nothing and no one else.

I got to catch up on this week's, but of course the week I missed was the Leslie/Laura reunion.
The one thing I wanted to see.

Rath, you should've let me know that week that you couldn't see it. I could've copied the episode(s) and sent it to you.

So what's gonna bring Laura over the edge? Finding out about Tracy? I'm pretty sure she'll be fine when she hears about Lulu's abortion and will want to support her. She'll probably be most upset about the fact that she couldn't be there for her to turn to.
I want Laura to see Scorpio again.
Who was that old woman lurking on the grounds who overheard the kids talking about the upcoming wedding?

That old woman? You're kidding, right??
I thought it was heartbreaking when Tracy had tears in her eyes at the threat of losing Luke to Laura.

I'm not kidding. Who was she?
And I agree...great scene with Tracy.
And Robin is the worst doctor on the face of the earth. Why isn't she on top of this?
