That is too adorable.
What the wedding episodes taught me is that I had forgotten how COMPLETELY annoying Amy is. Good Lord. The worst was when Laura shows up, and Amy is SCREECHING across the yard "LAURA LAURA LAURA!!!" and jumping up and down and waving as if it had been 20 years, not 10 minutes, since they'd seen each other.

She was an insurance lawyer. Shockingly, she ended up bored with it.
But even MORE bored at voir dire:
"Do any of you know me or my firm? No, I mean personally. No, not from TV. No, I mean... *sigh*"

I caught up with the episodes from this week. I may have to give it up--it's so time consuming. The Stone flashbacks made me sad. But Robin and Patrick together...geez. Like two wet socks filled with coal. They just fizzle onscreen--no charisma.
Up until today, I thought the actress who portrayed Lulu had done a really fine job. But it's hard to pull off drunk convincingly, and I thought she blew it. I hate the Spinelli character and cringe every time he opens his mouth. That dialogue blows!
I felt SO bad for Alexis during the office confrontation with Ric! Wonderful actress.
Elizabeth grates. Nikolas is gorgeous. They should pay Amber Tamblyn a zillion dollars to come back, because this Emily SUCKS.
Frisco and Felicia were beautiful. How did they produce a fug like Georgie?
I am amazed that, although on the run for his life, Jason remembered to pack his hair gel.

I just finished watching Friday's ep.
Yes, Robin and Patrick have NO chemistry. zzzzzzzz.
I thought Lulu didn't do so great the first "drunk" day, but she got much better. She's young enough that it's possible she hasn't been drunk yet in real life, so she needed some guidance. And Spinelli is a HORRIBLE actor.
This Emily has ALWAYS sucked - she's completely ruined the character - she went from Amber Tamblyn's feisty, smart, interesting young woman to a simpering bore.
Georgie isn't a fug - they're just doing weird things with her hair, which is in a really stupid cut.
Tyler Christopher, the gorgeous Nikolas of whom you speak, is an extraordinary actor. He is the only person who has played a dual role in any medium who was ever able to make me forget it was one actor. And that's with barely any physical modifications other than clothing.

well, i finally got around to watching the rest of the luke & laura 25 something old, something new episodes. it was great seeing susan moore and the cottage (like blue said), and luke's swanky bachelor pad (now that sonny guy's place, right?) and nice to see robert, tiffany, anne, and noah, too. it was fun to see joe and rose also (what was the relation there? weren't they both kelly's ?) and finally i got to see lila. she was as magnificant as i remember her. oh, and stella the maid. how sweet was she?
i couldn't believe how young aunt ruby looked. she was not as nearly old as i thought she was back in the day. and brian and claudia. lee and audrey. it's so amazing to see these actors that i can so clearly remember from 25 years ago.
the actor playing hutch was quite the looker. i'll have to more closely inspect his body of work, but i certainly could have done without that whittaker woman, spike, that annoying country bumpkin couple (relatives of the quartermaines? i forget) and that whole business with the "state fair" wedding. i forgot all of that nonsense. how cheesy was that? and the acting/dialogue/staging was god-awful. it makes some of the young actors on the show today look like olivier.
i guess i'm set now until 2051 when genie comes back again...

Yes, there was some cheesiness going on for sure! I don't remember who those bumpkins were.
But didn't Lila look beautiful and healthy!!
I believe Rose and Joe were brother and sister.

i guess i need the GH encyclopedia to keep them all straight. i always got confused with the kellys, why aunt ruby took over the diner, and especially the hardy's and weber's. i forget which son belongs to which couple, especially as they started rapidly aging the characters and throwing in all the lost cousins, brothers, sons, daughters, etc.
throw in the anderson's, logan's, baldwin's, putnam's and random quartermaine's and i get totally lost sometimes.
and that one dark-haired woman (mrs. grant, i believe?), she was jeff webber's mom, right?
lila did look great. it was nice to see anna lee in a more healthy state. and edward was more of a ****cat than i remember. that scene with him and stella in the manshion with the mummy tomb was priceless and so natural and funny.

Wasn't Heather's maiden name Grant?
Remember the original Heather, Georgianne LaPiere? Haven't seen here since Cher's last hair product infomercial.
#818re: Classic General Hospital
Posted: 12/4/06 at 11:25amit was grant, but i only remember the "robin something" woman in the role. i don't remember any other heather.

Robin Mattson. She played it the longest, and is the actress associated with the role.
Are you telling me, Mr. Pop Culture, that you don't know who Georgianne LaPiere is?

Robin Mattson was the greatest!
Lila looked radiant at the wedding, and I loved seeing her with the REAL Edward (the one and only David Lewis).
I don't think Rose and Joe were brother and sister. I think she was married to his dad at one point, but the dad died. There may have been some romance between the two, but I can't confirm. Gloria Mon...er, bdwaygirl, can you confirm, please?
I loved seeing good old Dan at the wedding! But I forget who exactly he is. Is he related to Lee, Gail and Scotty?
Rath--I must disagree with the fugliness/Georgie matter. The hair sucks, yeah, but it still comes down to the face. I can't stand looking at that mug.

Oh, you might be right about Rose and Joe.
I think Georgie has a cute face!
Do you remember LaPiere as Heather, blue?
#824re: Classic General Hospital
Posted: 12/4/06 at 12:25pmi thought i remember some sort of love triangle between joe/rose/anne at one point, so i'm hoping you're right, blue. that rose married into the kelly family sounds right, and the father thing rings a bell.
