Nah, I don't hate anyone. Dislike intensely? Yes. Many of them around here, but I don't waste much time thinkin' on it. Oh, and you're not one of the intensely disliked, btw.
My name should not be on that list.
If we were REALLY talking Classic GH, I'd be the only one posting. You weren't born, and Rath wasn't watching yet.

yeah, but i stopped watching it in 1989, when i graduated high school. i know of some things since then and almost was sucked back in when my old roommate/ex's ex watched the show and i heard the scene when sonny got shot by the fountain when i was doing something else in the house. it sounded like it was well done so i re-watched it later on soapnet, but quickly lost interest again.

Doesn't matter. You started when you were 8, and watched all through your childhood.
That means something in homoland.

Posted: 11/30/06 at 9:38amSuffice it to say, I was a toddler (my grandmother sat me on the couch while her story was on), the show was only a 1/2 hour and I watched a black and white t.v. There were 3 sets, the medicine room, the 7th floor nurses station, complete with a hanging call board with the room numbers that would light up occasionally, and Steve Hardy's office. Once in a while you saw the inside of an operating room, or just the operating room doors swinging shut.

Yup, Girly, that's what it looked like to me as well.
I remember a half hour, then 45 minutes, then an hour.
#792re: Classic General Hospital
Posted: 11/30/06 at 9:44amIt debuted in 1963. Went for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes in 1976, then an hour in 1978.

that's so true, ladies. i was amazed at the wyndham episode that really only showed very few characters in comparison to how much it seems to jump around today and how many sets are used.
speaking of sitting down with gram and watching stories, does anyone remember "the women of cellblock h" or something like that (not sure of the celllblock letter)? i remember watching that show with my gram on a 13" b&w.

Yes! That show sounds familiar.
I loved The Edge of Night, too, with Schuyler and Raven. And Jodi and Preacher were the younger, hot couple...kind of their version of Frisco and Felicia.
