Clever ways to ask boys to dances...

My friend and I are trying to think of clever ways to ask boys to TOLO (aka Sadie Hawkins) dance at our school. Any ideas- or ways you have asked in the past? Thanks.

Beause at my school the goal is to "be clever". Don't ask me, I would be perfectly fine just asking him. It's fun though, if you can think of something.

For example, my friend's mom is good friends with a cop, so she's going to get the cop to come and "arrest" the boy she wants to ask. The cop is going to read the boy his Miranda rights and then request that he go to TOLO with the girl. Cruel yes, but funny.

I don't really find that scenario to be clever or funny. In fact it could leave a negative impression. I agree with erika. I find straightforwardness is far more attractive, nothing is lost in the translation, and no time is wasted.

And please don't let you friend do that. That boy will say no and then she will be talked about for years to come.

You can bake a cake and put frosting on the top "Will you go to TOLO with me?"

And bake two cupcakes...one with "Yes" on top of it, and another one with "no"

Or...just make one cupcake with "Yes" :)

That's how my sister got asked out to Prom quite a few years ago.

I think it's better to ask for more than you really want then make them think that you are compromising and then you end up with what you really wanted in the first place. Example?
You: Wanna Fvck?
Him: Not on your life!
You: Okay, then, how bout a dance?

See?

Clever seems to have come to equal elaborate and corny, though; a la asking each other to prom on Laguna Beach. I put in another vote for "just ask."

While you're sitting around thinking of clever ways to ask a boy to the dance. Those more clever than you are just asking. You might come up with a very clever way, and it might be too late!

Haha, and then what happens if his response isn't "no" but "ok! *unzips pants*" Then she's gotten a little more than she bargained for...

I kinda like the just ask approach, especially for this kind of dance. I think girls get more sentimental and crazy about being asked in a perfect way than guys do. The guys are probably just so happy they don't have to be the ones to ask for once that they could care less how elaborately you ask them.

I'm sorry, but I really don't get it. If some girl did a thing to get me to ask her (like getting me arrested, etc.), I would never talk to her again. I understand it is supposed to be fun, but . . . . Guess I am just to old to get it!

Yeah, it is pretty mean I guess. But that is quite an extreme example. A lot of people do scavenger hunts or put signs out of windows or stuff like that.
