A Clinton landslide 68-31.

The don't vote in the GE but they are representative of Latino voters throughout the mainland.

Obama has a lot of work to do wooing not only the "old feminists" and the "working-class whites" (which one am I?), but also Latino voters.

How can a Democrat win without in those 3 constituencies? 17 million voters.

He needs to do something big and dramatic and SOON.

It's Hillary that needs to do something big and dramatic and soon; like conceding to Obama. With her out of the equation, the majority of her votes will go to Obama, especially if she throws her full support behind him and urges her supporters to do the same.

See, that's the attitude that's going to lose the election.

*sigh* Obama himself has said Hillary should stay in for as long as she wants. However, his supporters want her out NOW!

It all comes down to Hillary. Hillary should bow out. Hillary's supporters should just SHUT UP and give their vote and support to Obama. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. By us not doing this we are branded traitors and not be loyal to the party. By Hillary not giving up or kissing ass proves to the Obamabots that its her dividing the party. Obama does not have to take any responsibility or even put any effort into it. Its should all just fall into his lap.

Obama's lack of experience is really beginning to surface. I agree with Pal Joey. Obama needs to act fast now. No chance in hell will he win in November. Obama and his supporters are going to learn a lesson that will cost us Democrats and the country.Congratulations! You've won the nomination Barak! President elect McCain is ready to take you on. For all those who think Obama is tough, just wait til the GOP get done with him.

"See, that's the attitude that's going to lose the election."

On the contrary, PJ, it's YOUR attitude and desperate need to be right and be able to say "I told you so" that's going to lose this election.

I hope Hillary appeals the decision regarding FL/MI and takes it all the way to the convention if need be.

"I hope Hillary appeals the decision regarding FL/MI and takes it all the way to the convention if need be."

I'm sure you do, tazzy. I'm sure you do.

And that will surely lose the Democrats the general election, and Mrs. Clinton the respect of her party. It will kill her chances of being the VP candidate and of her ever running again in the future. She's much smarter than that. She'll concede to Obama tomorrow night.

She may simply "suspend" her campaign without conceding. It's been done before, by candidates with far fewer than 17 million votes.

Nope. She'll concede. And she'll do it with dignity, grace and class, holding her head up high.

I'm not going to let you bait me luscious.
In my opinion Obama is just not ready to lead this country. He has no experience, never had to fight politically for anything, and seems to capitulate or get defensive whenever he's up against a wall.
Plus, I think he's disingenuous and naive.

that's called an opinion, and I'm entitled to it.

It is also my opinion that the Obama supporters, NOT the Hillary supporters, are the ones driving a wedge through the party.

But you keep making smug comments to your fellow dems based on their choices if you think that is productive.

Taz - I respect your opinions, but I have to disagree with respect to the Obama supporters vs Clinton supporters. Not sure if you mean within the campaign, or folks like us, but I disagree on both fronts. Terry McAuliffe and Bill Clinton are telling anyone who'll listen that Obama can't win, the crowd at the DNC meeting booed Obama's, and his name is regularly booed at her rallies.

"And that will surely lose the Democrats the general election, and Mrs. Clinton the respect of her party."

So, if Obama loose we are all set to blame Hillary in November. L O L !

Did you say Hillary will loose the respect of the Democrats? This is a joke, right? Show me just ONE Obama supporter who has any respect for Hillary. I say go full force Hillary. What do you have to loose?

I can not tell the Obama supporters apart from the right wingers who blame the Clintons for 911, not catching Bin Laden, and so on.

I read the headlines of some of these left wing sites and they read just like Drudge Report or News Max.They all have banned together to bash Hillary/The Clintons and in the same breath you talk about how Hillary will loose respect from the party and how it is SHE who is dividing the Democrats.

If Al Gore or John Kerry were running against Obama, they would be criticized non stop. Just wait til Obama does just ONE THING his supporters don;t agree on. They will disown him in seconds.

Michelle Obama is the future Hillary. Only in November, the day after the election will people be saying, "maybe Hillary should have been our nominee after all". These people will be no different than those who voted for Bush in 2004 and then complain about how bad of a president he is.

"Show me just ONE Obama supporter who has any respect for Hillary."

The vast majority of Obama supporters say they will vote for Clinton if she wins the nomination.

I see your point madbrain. In reality both sides are equally at fault for dividing the party so acrimoniously.

I retract this part of my post and apologize to the Obama supporters:

Madbrian, thats easy for them to say now that we know Obama has the nomination. These same Obama supporters were defending Hillary less than a year ago. I honestly think Obama is fresh and new and they want this image of a proud leader again like we had with Bill Clinton. They will hear no criticism about him without getting defensive and in your face about it. I do like Obama but I share Taz's and Pal Joey's and even Jerby's reasons for why I feel Hillary is the better choice. I have issues with her and its not all lovey dovey with me and Hillary either. However, she can beat McCain. Obama can not.Its not personal with Obama and I like him way more than most of his followers. I sometimes take it out on him rather then his rabid foaming at the mouth possee, but I do like and respect him. I just do not feel its his time yet. His lack of experience will be highlighted in the debates this fall.

If you supporters of his feel Hillary has been mean and nasty and tricky and dishonest just wait til the GOP starts. Obama gets defensive with Hillary and her so called tactics. He even warned the GOP to leave his wife alone. What Presidential candidate's spouse is off limits?

his name is regularly booed at her rallies

Yes, that's stinks. And, in return, her name is reviled all over the liberal blogs and MSNBC.

And only the CANDIDATE can put a stop to it. If Obama doesn't bring the party together, he will be running with 50% of the Democratic party.

My suggestion is that they stage a press conference in which he offers her the vice presidency and she declines it, to continue her work in the Senate, she urges her supporters to do everything they can to elect him, he urges his supporters to embrace her and her supporters with their full hearts.

Anything short of that and McCain wins.

"The don't vote in the GE but they are representative of Latino voters throughout the mainland. "

Let's get one thing clear, "latino voters" are not all the same nor should be grouped together. Puerto Ricans are not Mexicans or other South Americans. True they share a common language (accents aside) they are culturally/genetically very different people.

I assume the media is doing what they think is "good-will" by trying to include all Latins but grouping us together is not always reasonable and can be offensive.

Hillary Clinton may be popular among the Mexican-American vote and the Puerto Ricans, but it can be for different reasons. Even politically Mexicans and Puerto Ricans share very little. Puerto Rico is a part of the USA, Mexico is not and there is a world of difference in political thinking.

Despite all of this Puerto Rico was a rather large disappointment for Clinton and Obama. The voter turnout was pathetic.

And yet you were so quick to lump all the Jewish voters together when they are even more disparate than the Latino voters.

I have always said "Vote for the Democratic nominee no matter who it is" and have a bazillion posts to that effect to prove it.

Incidentally, I hear Ferraro is thinking of supporting McCain if Obama gets the nomination. Let's all write her urging her to endorse him at the Republican convention. Nothing would swing more votes to the Democrats that listening to Gerry bash Obama on national TV.

"And yet you were so quick to lump all the Jewish voters together when they are even more disparate than the Latino voters."

I explained that. I was/am talking specifically about the Southern Florida Jewish vote which is the "Jewish vote" you hear about on television.

Sure I understand these people can be/are different, vote differently, etc, but they do have voting patterns and the "vote" is majority we've seen over the years.

I'm talking about one community in Florida not trying generalize the entire Jewish vote in this country. What PJ is saying is different than what I'm saying.
