Well, while I can't go all fangirl for Colin, I must say that I throughly enjoyed his performance as Gordon/The Man in Rent. Probably the best I've seen in that role and I've seen a lot (including Norbert).

Seriously, I love his voice and his acting is always incredibly impressing. He's awesome at crying on cue, but it's always very genuine and clearly from his heart.
I wish I got to see him in Rent.

Everytime he cries in ILYB, it just breaks my heart.
I saw him as Roger, Mark, and Gordon/The Man in Rent. He was fantastic in every role - the best Mark I've seen, by far. There isn't much he can't do.

I've been waiting for a Colin thread.
This is the perfect opportunity for me to delcare to the world: Colin Hanlon makes me swoon like a little school girl. Seriously. It's ridiculous.
I live in California, which means that there's...oh, only about 3,000 miles separating me from seeing Colin in ILYB. You would not believe how upset I was when I found out he'd be starring in a new show, and I would be all the way across the country, unable to see it. But he cries in the show? What happens in the show that calls for tears? (sorry if it's a plot giveaway to anyone who's planning on seeing the show, but I'm intrigued). A cast recording needs to happen. Or else...(yeah, couldn't think of a good conclustion to that threat).
I did get to see him in RENT when I was in NY a few months ago. He was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC (yes, that deserved capital letters), and of course, as previously stated, unbelievably swoon-worthy.
Okay...I'm done gushing now. Well, I'm actually not, but I'm at least done typing out all my gushy thoughts. 
ETA - In case anyone was wondering, I saw him go on for Matt Caplan as Mark in RENT. His Tango dance is yummy...as is his white-boy dancing in La Vie Boheme.

Gushing over Colin is definitely allowed.
There IS an ILYB cast recording in the works... no details of the date yet, but according to a little sign in the theater, there will be one.

Colin plays the male lead, who is having trouble getting over a relationship that ended badly and enlists the help of a woman in a similar situation to help him win his ex-girlfriend back. Things don't exactly go as either of them planned.

Posted: 3/23/06 at 12:28amHe never seems to be very happy at curtain calls, sometimes because he's still crying because of the role or how the show just ended and it seems like he's still in character a little bit or moved by what just happened. (I like that a lot.)
