I will make the Colorado trip in August, hit the ground running in Denver and drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. I want to watch the Perseid meteor shower from Trail Ridge Road at 12,000 feet, above 50% of the earth's atmosphere. The town of Estes Park and the Appenzell Inn lie on the eastern side of the park. After RMNP, I will head back to Denver and take in its attractions: the US Mint, financial district and the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall. From there, I will drive south to Colorado Springs and go up Pike's Peak. I will explore the town of Cripple Creek, Garden of the Gods and perhaps the US Air Force Academy.

Posted: 5/29/13 at 7:33pmI might go to the grocery store tomorrow, just for a few things. If I do, I'll go to the produce aisle, pick up a few bananas, maybe see what apples they have that I like. Those dark chocolate covered espresso bits are in that area, so I might grab a container of those. We're low on ice cream bars, so I'll probably go to the frozen section and get a box of the minis. Maybe down the international aisle to grab a box of Hob'Nobs (addictive!)

Make the Colorado trip in August,
Hit the ground running in Denver,
Drive to Rocky Mountain National Park,
Watch the Perseid meteor shower
From Trail Ridge Road at 12,000 feet
Altitude sickness, puke on her feet,
She's half my age, it's all the rage,
She calls me daddy, I scold her,
She asks "Whuzzamatta with you?"
I tells her I'm bi-polar.
CHORUS
Bi-polar! Bi-polar! So relieved I told her.
[repeat chorus]
I got lotsa personaities
But please don't call me Sybill, please
Now it's hip to say I'm Bi-Polar.
