(side note: just got a recording of her literally mix-belting a high C#)...wtf!? Who belts a high C#?!
Not to mention, in the same song, she has the most BEAUTIFUL high B above high C I have EVER heard -- TONS of spin and it just sits so pretty. She ridiculous.

aside: I have a Patti LaBelle-goin-to-church-in-Atlanta-in-July A above the treble staff in full chest voice (however, I can mix up to a D above that, and if I switch to flageolet, I can do a G above *that*, which brings my total range to four octaves and a minor second, as I also have the E one ledger line below the bass clef) My mom's girlfriends didn't call me Little Black Sally for nuthin'!
