OMG! Miriam, if you go, please tell us how the show is, particularly the dancing.
Anthony, I can't believe you didn't start a separate thread for each of the dates in Israel!
Oh Em Gee! I hope I can get a bullet-proof vest, a helmet, and a ticket!

Separate - threads - coming!
Just think we have months of rumours, set lists, set designs and all sorts of groovy stuff to discuss!
all - on - single - individual - threads!
It IS the off topic section after all!??!!!
The chorus line of Hasidim in bright red Joan Crawford 'F**&-me" pumps will be worth the price of admission!
I get the feeling that this leg of the tour may get canceled--what are the chances that it will be safe for her to be there at this time?

NO WAY! She will do it!
Madonna is looking to telecast the HBO show from there!
Her going there is slightly mishegas and will give her gehakte tsoris like you would'nt believe but also Front Page headlines!
Eh....Excuse me...But as a VERY proud Israeli I want to say something.
A. Madonna has played here before and it was wonderful - I'm sure she'd want to come again, especially with all her Kabbala studying.
B.There are secular people here, like me, in case you didn't know, and in fact we're the majority, so no Hasidic lines.
C.The bullet proof vest comment is just uncalled for. Don't speak about what you only read about in the papers or watch on tv- it isn't always true. True, I look over my shoulder a lot, but I still lead a normal life -I would go crazy otherwise.
Pm me if you wanna hear more REAL things about Israel.
I have a very good Israeli friend who just returned to Israel last month. I'm glad the experience for you is better than his. He admits that it is possible to live a normal life if you know where to go and when to go and how to go, but that there are always exceptions. I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else, but the idea of American Madonna fans running out to Israel completely unprepared to be in the audience for the HBO taping of the concert is a bit scary.
PS - I'm sure we'll need the vest and helmet in the US soon as well.

You were probably aiming for "meshugenna" when you used "mishegas" Anthony.
Mister Matt- thank for clearing that up.
But do you really think people will come here just to see Madonna? She'll be playing all over!

I thought meshugenna meant crazy person
while mishegas meant craziness, in general...
This is actually a good question as who wants to use the wrong word and look like a farbissoner chiam yankel .......

I think the die-hard Madonna fans would travel anywhere for the opportunity to be in the audience when a concert video is filmed. I've known some pretty obessive Madonna fans who have traveled worldwide to see her.
Voiceanth-you got those two words right!
Take my word for it, taka~
I know two families who both had children who traveled in Israel and were victims of random bombing attacks. On the other hand, my cousins took their kid there for his Bar Mitzvah. They were safe but that was several years ago.

Nobody needs to email me Ant, unlike you, I can READ! Oh wait, did you think you were having a private message exchange here? I know how easily confused you get.
With no disrespect intended for any country, including Israel, I just worry that as heated as things are (especially after the death of the leader of the Hamas) things could become unsafe as to prevent the world's biggest star from going there. Unless security is Secret Service tight, one has to fear the worst.
I do respect Madonna's choice to play in Israel--many celebrities won't cross the Atlantic out of fear.
If we start fearing, then the bloody terrorists will have won ! And why would someone fear crossing the Atlantic ? The worst and most tragic terrorist attack in History did not happen on this side of the Atlantic !
Take care
There is a difference between living in fear and inviting bad news. That's all I'm saying. Certainly, care is being given to prevent an attack at a concert anywhere in the world, so maybe it isn't really a concern after all.
And, many celebrities are chicken sh!t about traveling to Europe or South Asia. There have been terror attacks all over that region (Spain? Israel? Iraq? Afghanistan?) with warnings and attempts across the board (France? just yesterday).
