Courtney Love

I was going to post something just like this - you beat me to it.
Courtney Love is seriously psychotic. They always show that clip of her at the MTV Awards where she throws something up on the highrise thing where Madonna is being interviewed, and then she climbs up stumbling over her own feet. She messes up the interview then falls out of her seat onto the floor.
That's very embarassing.

Posted: 3/18/04 at 11:09pmThat doesn't compare to the Letterman show last night, and the concert after that, when she was arrested. She's self destructing and fast.

Posted: 3/19/04 at 2:53amI just saw a clip from the Letterman show a little while ago on the news. She climbed up on his desk, lifted her sweater, and flashed him. I haven't seen Dave look that uncomfortable since Crispin Glover had a psychotic meltdown during his interview.

What is so utterly UTTERLY infuriating about Courtney Love's ongoing self destruction is she almost made it. Live Through This was a great album and while Celebrity Skin was a bit hit and miss, when it hit, it was amazing. On top of that, she'd cleaned herself up and garnered a lot of respect for her performance in The People Vs. Larry Flynt. And then it all went so horribly wrong.
Serious drug addiction and an equally serious addiction to plastic surgery have given the poor dear the face of Jocelyn Wildenstein and has made any public appearance by her as uncomfortable and embarrassing as watching a drunken fishwife at a bus stop throwing her shoe at a stranger. And then her much delayed solo album, America's Sweetheart, is an unlistenable dog. Such a huge huge shame.

As much as I love Courtney (I wrote a whole column about her), I must agree....
'Live through this" will always be considered an exceptional work.
"The People vs Larry Flynt" will always contain a great film debut.....
...but the future looks grim....
it's very sad....
PS: I love the Madonna-Courtney-post-MTV-awards interview...
Courtney's unhinged and Madonna starts acting like Princess Margaret......
Best line:
Courtney: Yeah ...so Kurt and I went to see "Truth or Dare" and half way through, Kurt turns to me and goes "Oh my God, It's YOU!"
Madonna smiles slightly.....

Isn't that the one where she falls down and Madonna says something like "Courtney needs attention right now"? It's really painful to watch.
And did we just agree, Voiceanth? What is going on?

and she compares Rock stardom to working in a hospital by saying..."the hours are great, the doctors are cute"...
and Madonna deadpans "..and there's a lot of available drugs!"
The best is Madonna's face...not amused...
and Kurt Loder is like...Ummm..ok..well...
You know Madonna, drugs are a BIG no/no!

Posted: 3/19/04 at 12:57pm'course she had kurt whacked. all of this since is really the guilt coming home to roost now that francis bean is getting to be old enough to start asking questions.
