I guess that'd be the arguement for those who think God is real.
Epiphany: I believe in Jesus, just not that he was the son of God. Does that make me Jewish?

deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

"Anyone that suggests the Bible would make a nice bedtime story clearly hasn't read it."
Maybe I should elaborate. I suggested that "age-old fairy tale" could also apply to the Bible because, in my opinion, I think that the Bible is nothing but ancient mythology. The "nice bedtime story" reference reminds me of my childhood. My father is a Methodist minister and every night he and/or my mom would read to my siblings and me from our big book of Bible stories.
