In your opinion, what's the creepiest movie you've ever seen? Not necessarily the scariest or goriest. I'm talking haunting, nightmare inducing creepy (as in atmospherically or subject matter wise).
Session 9. A haunted, abandoned asylum. Need I say more?
The Exorcist...I can watch the movie, just can't listen to it.....need the sound way down.
The original Japanese Ring series are pretty f***ing creepy.
Any of David Lynch's films.
Fortress freaked me out when I was younger.

David Lynch's LOST HIGHWAY gets my vote.
Mystery Man (Robert Blake): We've met before, haven't we?
Fred (Bill Pullman): I don't think so. Where was it you think we met?
Mystery Man: At your house. Don't you remember?
Fred: No. No I don't. Are you sure?
Mystery Man: Of course. As a matter of fact, I'm there right now.
(MM hands Fred his cell phone and tells him to call his house. He does. MM answers the phone.)
Gives me the freakin' chills every time.
I have to agree with Broadway86. Carnival of Souls is perhaps the creepiest of films I have ever seen. Amazing what a director can do with almost no budget if he has talent!
I may seem stupid, but The Exorcism of Emily Rose. It creeped a lot of people out in my town. One of my brothers friends took his cross off of the wall and held it for half an hour. I even slept with my bible that night.
Andy Worhol's FLESH And TRASH are very disturbing.
HEAT would be just as disturbing if it were not so (unpremeditatedly) funny.
The Cell. I know it's J. Lo, but the idea of it creeped me out.
I'll probably get scorned six ways to Sunday for this. Up until it's revealed that the villain is in fact a reject from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, I found Jeepers Creepers to be intensely, well, creepy.

You're not alone. I love Jeepers Creepers. Old-fashioned horror, with a sense of humor. And, I liked the creature.

...Emily Rose is one of the few films to ever give me goosebumps.
Ditto on "Carnival of Souls."
Also "The Beast With Five Fingers" with Peter Lorre and the severed hand.
...And "Mame."
I agree with Emily Rose. Wasn't necessarily gory or scary...just the idea of that being true creeps me out...kinda freaky.
The Ring...okay laugh but I was creeped out and scared at the movie.
Has anyone ever seen High Tension? I think it is a foreign film, because the version I saw looked like it was dubbed in English. This movie was gory, and it also creeped me out...if anyone saw the ending you might know why.

Mothman Prophecies. I saw it 3 years ago and still can't get over it. Google it. I'm too creeped out too haha.

You've all given me a good list of movies to stay away from at all costs.
My pick is Silence of the Lambs, and maybe Sleepy Hollow. The story of the Headless Horseman ALWAYS terrified me as a child.

The home movies of my childhood. Very creepy and disturbing.
Session 9 was indeed very creepy. I can still creep a few of my friends out with a crazed "What are YOU doing here?" even though we watched the movie two years ago!
Suspiria - Dario Argento does glam creepy
